ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES everywhere in the storage facility. Had a small unit for one month. Came to check on items and the whole area in and around the unit was crawling with roaches of all sizes. Most of the roaches were coming from a larger unit across from mine. I mean total infestation in this building. Roaches crawling on the door and scurrying on the floor. Management gave no real concern for the issue other than stating they would have pest control come out Wednesday…it was a Sunday. I checked my unit and sprayed all the walls and floors, went and purchased bug strips to lay inside my unit and outside the door. Came in the next day, Monday, to get a full refund of the 3 months I purchased and management had no idea about the ROACH issue the building has not showed any concern for it. Al was dismissive, uncaring and unapologetic for the issue. He stated he had no knowledge of the infestation which was astonishing to me considering the massive infestation. No one ever moved towards finding out the extent of the problem. They had at least 6 employees either on their personal phones, chatting/ laughing and joking about non work related matters. VERY VERY unprofessional place. U-Haul should be very embarrassed of this facility and the unprofessional employees, using this word loosely, that are at the 1500 Charleston Hwy location in Cayce SC. I also tried to rent a truck with no success after waiting over 30 minutes listening to them talk about other matters and Al the so called manger sitting in his office trying to help the ill trained “employee “not being face to face with me and helpful. I left without a truck because I’d have been there all day at this rate. The ROACHES were my priority and getting my stuff shaken out and re packed. When I came back in to repack my unit ROACHES were crawling everywhere still. No one ever came to access the situation for the hour + I was there. I feel truly sorry for anyone at the location that has a storage unit….its infested with ROACHES and NO ONE at the facility cares to remedy or try to get control of the ROACH situation. I would NEVER recommend this place for business of any kind. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! It’s a shame people like that have a job, definitely gives U-Haul and bad reputation!

ROACHES infested my Mother and I’s unit from somebody else’s unit. No employees apologized for the inconvenience or offered a refund. We had to hassle them for one and when we finally got the PARTIAL refund of $187 given to us, it was all in 1 and 5 dollar bills. General Manager was extremely defensive and had zero compassion for our situation seeing as it was caused by the facility he’s running. Every employee the day of us moving our things out of the ROACH infested unit was standing outside laughing and talking with each other instead of doing something about the roaches in multiple units we’ve discovered now. They were all crawling out from under many different unit doors. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not rent from this place. EVER.

You need more Flat carts at times with only 2 flat carts i didnt have one to use. Outside of that i had no issues.

This location was great. Jeremiah was professional, courteous, and efficient. I would definitely use this U-Haul location again.

Worst Customer Service Ever! Spent an hour trying to pick up truck to never get one. I was told they had a truck for me, but clerk put the order in at wrong location. There were at least 6 or 7 employees standing around laughing and joking the entire time, while I was ignored. Then they said the system was down. After an hour and a half, when I asked if I was going to get a truck, a clerk named Angel got very nasty with me and when I snapped back they asked me to leave or they we going to call the police. I own a retail business and have spent my life working customer service. I have never seen situation where a customer was treated so poorly. Do not rent from these people ever!!!

Chris went above and beyond to help us hook up our trailer. It was very hot outside and he spent 15-20 minutes making sure our lights worked. Thank you!

The staff was very nice, but the truck that I received was not in the best condition. The check engine light was on the entire time, and the seal of the door leaked, so that when it rained, I ended up getting wet.

Lacey and Natasha were awesome, they helped me get in and out quickly after a long day. I really appreciated the help lifting the trailer onto my hitch. They both went above and beyond to make my experience easier.

The reservation I had made did not seem like it made a difference.I had a 9:30 appointment for just a tow dolly which was made almost a week in advance and had been confirmed in advance. Once there, early even, it took until after10:30 for the tow dolly to get checked in and then rented out to myself to hook up. Was told somebody was going to come out and hook up the tow dolly trailer and verify the installation, but after waiting another 15 minutes of sitting there waiting and nobody coming out to assist, but also expected to keep my normal reservation return time or pay additional money, even though I had already lost almost 2 full hours of the 4.5 hour reservation. It was not a pleasant experience from start to finish
