Horrible experience buying Sudafed. Small print is really difficult to read on shelves behind the pharmacy counter.I rarely have sinus issues, so I'm not familiar with the types of Sudafed. Why should I have to try to guess like I'm on a game show? Please tell me what the options are (especially after I gave up and TOLD you I couldn't see that far) and at least try to be a bit kinder in tone.I will never come to this Walgreens again.

If 0 stars were an option, that is what the Walgreens on Augusta Road in West Columbia would receive. Two prescriptions were sent in by my son’s doctor on Tuesday, November 3, 2021. One prescription was filled the same day and as of December 12, 2021, one of them still has not been filled. I’ve been to inquire about it twice and they keep blaming it on the doctor’s office. This is an anxiety medicine that my son cannot go without. They did the same thing last month and he had to go a week without his medicine because of their screwup. Now they’re doing the same thing again and blaming it on his doctor’s office. He will run out again tomorrow and they showed no concern whatsoever. Guess they have never battled anxiety or depression. If they had, they would show a little more compassion. This is not acceptable. Anxiety and depression medicine is not something you can skip taking. I have about had it with this pharmacy. Does anyone have any recommendations for a pharmacy in the West Columbia area? Preferably somewhere where it is not a battle to get your prescriptions filled each month.

My 69 y. O. Dad was at this location approx. 10:00 am on 8/6. He went to the rear of the stores pharmacy area to inquire about a covid test. No body was being served and my dad was waiting. The lady behind the glass said someone would be right with him. The male pharmacist was at the other glass helping nobody. While waiting my father lost balance and caught himself to sit down on the bench. Nobody showed any concern. Finally the woman returned and still paid no attention. Maybe my dad has no covid since he has had one shot but he finally gave up and left. So Walgreens thanks for your concern and outgoing service\\n.

Second time in six months that I have been unable to fill my prescription on-time and had to go without, not due to it being out of stock, but rather because of issues at the local Walgreens pharmacy. The first time was the Friday before Thanksgiving, the last day that I was in town until after the holiday. I called 3 times throughout the morning, and waited on hold for roughly an hour each time, before finally getting wise and calling the main store. Apparently they had taken the phone off the hook because they didn't have a pharmacist so couldn't open the pharmacy. Today, I got a notification this morning from the Walgreens app that my prescription couldn't be filled and I needed to call the pharmacy. I called and explained the notification I received, no explanation about why I received the notification was provided, but I was told that I would be able to pick up my prescription between 4-4:30. Shortly after, I received a notification that my refill was in process. At 5:13 I called the store again, because my refill status was unchanged with an estimated ready time of 4:03pm (in the past). The woman who answered the phone told me that due to a computer issue, they have been unable to fill any prescriptions since around 10am. When I asked why I received the notification that the refill was in progress, she said that they were able to print the sticker but couldn't move to the next step. When I asked WHEN I would be able to pick up my prescription, she said "probably tomorrow". The first time, I thought that I had better ways to spend my time than to write a complaint, but this is unacceptable. The reason that I choose to fill my prescriptions with Walgreens over another pharmacy is because I believed the company and it's staff to be more reliable than CVS and operating hours to be more consistent than a locally owned pharmacy. Neither of these things have been the case lately. I am helpless as a consumer this evening, but will be revisiting my options for choice of pharmacy following the pickup of this refill. While I was writing this, I finally got the notification that my prescription was ready - at 7:16 pm - pharmacy closed at 7... just icing on the cake. Store Address :2224 AUGUSTA RDWest Columbia, SC 29169

I've been very sick for the past couple of days. Doctor sent my prescription to this Walgreens as it is the most convenient location to my house. I went to pick up my medication around 7pm on Friday evening (the pharmacy hours on the door state that it is open until 9pm), and when I arrived, the pharmacy was closed. The cashiers up front were absolutely clueless and offered no assistance. I asked when it would open the next morning, and they told me that they weren't sure if it would even be open, even though their hours clearly stated they would be. They showed no concern whatsoever that I would not be able to get medication that I desperately needed. I returned the next morning around 11am to find that it was closed again, despite their hours clearly stating that they were open until 6pm. I immediately called another Walgreens location, and thankfully they were able to retrieve my prescription and fill it. I would advise anyone to avoid this joke of a pharmacy at all costs. They obviously don't give a damn about their customers, and not to mention, the store is dirty and sketchy. I learned my lesson, and will be using a local pharmacy from now on.

This pharmacy is a nightmare. They continually messed up my prescriptions and kept telling me that they needed an authorization on prescriptions I was already taking and had refills for. I transferred all my prescriptions to Walmart and the one that they said needed an authorization for was filled in 20 minutes from my doctors office calling it in and the prescription was filled. Upon further investigation I saw where they were filing a medical claim instead of a pharmacy claim to get more money. I even went into the store and personally told them I was not taking a certain prescription and not to fill it anymore and 2 days later they called and said that the prescription was filled and ready to be picked up. To top it all off they called me later the same day and told me they were filling another prescription I didn't have on auto refill and they were going to fill it 2 weeks early. I promptly told them no and when I hung up I had my prescriptions transferred immediately. They filled so many prescriptions early I cut off all auto refills and they still tried to fill my prescriptions before they were due. Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Stay away from this place they will take advantage of you and bill you for things that you didn't order.

Wow!!! Whoever hired Taylor in the pharmacy department has to be glad they have her. She was so helpful and explained in easy detail about my prescriptions. Way to step it up Walgreens. Loving the new customer service!!!

If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. Absolutely unhelpful. I went to the pharmacy to check on the type of cold meds I needed and if there were contraindications with my daily meds. The sign said to go to the other window. I stood in line for ten mins before the guy told me to go to the other window... the one with the sign! Then rather than putting the extra box of medication on some random shelf, because I'd forgotten where I got it, I gave it to the woman at the check out. She left me standing there while she shuffled slowly to go put it back! She could have rang me up and let me go, then put it back. I'm not feeling well so I know I'm grumpy but this is seriously the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I wish I had time to have walked out and gone somewhere else.

The lady at the Walgreens pharmacy was rude. Told me they were "working on my insurance" whatever that means and that I had to drive around and get in back of the long line of cars even though my script was put in hours ago. Pretty hard to believe that especially with her mannerisms.
