Rooms: Rooms need some work. Doesn't look like they're reinvesting into their hotel.Food & drinks: Food from Minerva's restaurant didn't quite meet the expectations.

Place is terrible if you are a working person. The noise level from the pool area will ensure you get zero sleep or relaxation prior to 10-11 pm. I am a Hilton diamond elite member and wanted to try a different place, my apologies to Hilton hotels…. I shouldn’t have strayed. Won’t be staying at Ramkota Hotel in Aberdeen,

This was the BEST hotel stay we have EVER had! The hotel staff and management were amazing; the breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel. And the pool area is so family friendly! Thank you, Best Western Ramkota! We can't want to come back again!

Beds suck. Hard as a brick. Checked in n the young gal said maybe 10 words. I wanted to make reservations for next week again but she just ignored me n helped another guy. I wanted to know if elevator n where to park but she was having no part . I had to figure out how to find room n then where to park. Nothing in room to tell me where vending machines work. With being here for a week I wanted my rewards to get credited. Sorry won't stay here again.Walkability: Lots parking spots but all taken and had to park long ways off. Won't come back

Overall rather dumpy. This place felt new 30 years ago when I stayed here as a kid. Now it is overall very run-down. The doors are all broken, carpet here and there is very worn out, ceilings are low and with chipped paint. Lots of spider webs in corners. The pool area is dark, with pools of stagnant water here and there; the pool itself is only maximum 3'6" deep, so it's no good for older kids. The bottom of the pool has bits of old paint and other small pieces of debris. It's much worse than indicated by the pictures. The front lobby and restaurant area is okay and has clearly been updated somewhat recently. One morning about 4:30am I took a walk around the hotel and found an open and very gross packet of mayonnaise or something on the carpet in the hallway; it was still there two hours later. We got a king suite for our family of five; paint was chipping in the bathroom, and toilet had a very hard time flushing. Overall the room was okay but definitely not worth what we paid for it. Other than the front lobby area ALL THE EXTERIOR DOORS were some degree of broken: latches didn't latch, the mechanism that slows down the door so it doesn't slam was broken, on door #2 closest to the front lobby I couldn't believe it but the handle was very loose. The place in its entirety simply felt very old and tired and dumpy. "Dumpy" is how I would describe it in one word. It was quiet even though there were quite a few cars in the parking lot, so I have to give them that. They charged us a little over 30$ for borrowing their baby crib for two nights. Seems somewhat logical but I have never had to pay for that before.

$230 a night, beds sucked, bathroom toilet hardly flushed. Pool and hotube were both extremely dirty and stunk. Didn't have enough towels, this was absolutely not worth 230 bucks. I will not come back here again, maybe a 100-120$ hotel. I got ripped off after traveling 4 hours to this.

The hotel looks good on the Internet and the outside. But the inside of it is not decent. Management and supervisors need to do some work by going into rooms and making sure that things are really getting done by house keepers. First two rooms that were given to us were dirty, dusty, stink and smell like mold as well. My sister took a picture of the dirt and showed it to the staff at the front desk. The front desk staff Kent did good by changing the rooms. I woke up the next morning to take a shower, the water was not coming out. I called the front desk to know if there was any water issues going on, Holly at the front desk said yes.And I asked if she knew when the problem started and when will it be fixed since know one told us about the situation. Holly responded very rude and unprofessional, she could not let me speak, she was going back and forth. The staff called Holly needs a training on how to be professional as a receptionist. All thanks to staff MARIE who came in that evening and talked to us very nicely and she was very apologetic about the situations we encountered at the hotel.

Check in was great until we got to the room.. it smelled awful and the air conditioner had the floor soaking wet. They gave us a new room.. it was dirty.. they gave us a new room.. it was dirty.. then they wanted me to split into single rooms with young kids.. that was not happening.. they then put us in a single room with 2 roll aways.. there was no way 2 roll aways would fit in this room. One kid slept on the floor on a mattress and the other slept on the chair.. great way for my daughter to get her rest before state trap.Rooms: Not clean

Large dog was running around unattended inside of the hotel. Smelt and appeared filthy & full of black mold. Every place we visited after visiting your hotel stated it was full of black mold. It obviously appeared & smelt like it too. When I asked about the dog the clerk told me the owner doesn't take care of his dog, stays there often, & leaves dog & human feces around. Still haven't gotten a refund.Safety: Not safe for childrenFood & drinks: Restaurant appeared very dirtyNoteworthy details: Having children I adopted that have trauma due to dog bites makes it seriously dangerous, scary, and traumatic all over again walking into your hotel. I hope you close the doors, do a major renovation, and do better for families in the future. Ruined our whole weekend & 3 little kids that were excited to stay in your hotel.

Great stay at Ramkota Bestwestern. I came from France and stayed 12 days and what I can say is that the welcome was perfect! I especially want to thank Jenn for her kindness and professionalism. I recommend this place to all my compatriots who would like to discover South Dakota.

Staff was hostile concerning service dog. Demanded “certification” and implemented a pet surcharge when documentation was not presented. Staff member stated there was no standard for service animal documentation and a determination of status was her sole discretion. I contacted Best Western corporate and they called the hotel to reverse the charge. Staff refused to provide a receipt upon my departure and the pet fee reversal has yet to occur.

Stayed here for the first time recently. Wonderful people all the way around. From reception to maintenance workers, everyone was helpful. Room was nice, water pressure a little low but overall would stay here again for sure. Rented a meeting room as well and staff were very attentive to our needs. Pizza was also great from the restaurant.

this is a beautiful hotel that has a very large indoor water park for the kids. they even have hotel rooms right next to the pool area for easy access. I love how welcoming they are, and they have plenty of vending machines located across the building in various places. highly recommend, your kids will love the water park!

Overall a solid hotel for the pricing. It would need updates and bit of refinement to have the 5th start for what it is. (Budget conference and family facility)Huge perk, three electric car charging spots. Two Tesla wall chargers and generic one. They are 48 amp 207 volt so you can expect between 30 and 38 miles per hour of charging.Pros. Friendly staff at every moment of my stay. Conference facilities are good, the meal at the conference was excellent, the hotel restaurant also has friendly staff and excellent bartenders. On the surface the hotel is relatively clean and well kept up. Even with a hotel restaurant they do have continental breakfast that is slightly above average.Cons. The devil is in the details, the rooms could use a deep cleaning, and then some patchwork and maintenance so that it didn't feel like such an old hotel. The showers seriously need to have their shower heads replaced, and since it is an older hotel the ceilings are only 7 ft.The pool and vending machines are pretty typical for this style hotel. Coffee maker in the bathroom... I'll pass on the in room coffee maker.
