“We were 775 miles from home on a mini fall vacation when our truck decided to stop working. After talking with 4 dealerships and multiple repair shops... all telling us 3 to 4 weeks out before they would even be able to LOOK at it, I called Southside Service. What an amazing experience. We talked on the phone first and Pat gave us some ideas on what to try. In the end we had it towed to Southside. Before we could get to the shop Pat had it up on the lift and found we had a failed Starter. Pat called to find a Starter and we chose to go pick it up. Back in Pat's hands he had it installed and back on the road in less than two hours. We cannot say enough good things about Southside Service and Pat the Owner. If you need help and it just feel like no one wants to help... Call Southside Service. They are fast, honest, fair and willing to help. I feel blessed that we found this place. Our vacation turned out so good and a big reason was Pat. Thank you for your help!”
“About 10 days before I got my vehicle to the Auto Doctor, I was in Eau Claire, WI, and had some work done at the Ford dealership there. By the time I arrived in Spearfish my engine was idling very hard, the oil light was coming on when I came to a stop, and the temp gauge read as hot as it'd go.Talked to Dale and he checked out my Transit Connect. I've held off on my review until now and I'm pleased to say what a great job yall did on my van!!!She purrs smoothly when idling. No more overheating. She has pick up she's lacked and missed after the Ford dealership. My gas mileage is back at 29 to 30mpg.You guys were very well worth the wait.Thank you sirs!!!!”

“Carter is fantastic! We gel'd up on a weekend getaway and he came to our rescue. We were luckily stranded at our lodge but he made two trips to us. He was honest when it was too cold to get it running but came to prep for the next day's task. He was responsive and kept us informed. We hope we never have to call him again but would do it over again if we had to.10/10 recommend!”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The lovely folks at Spearfish Exhaust Pros came to our rescue during a very stressful time for my family. We broke down in our electric car literally driving across the country (unfortunately during January's frigid cold snap). We spent hours in our car trying to contact nearby auto shops that could service an EV, with no luck. No one in the entire state of South Dakota was qualified. Eventually we found out the closest place able to service us was in North Dakota. In the meantime, we were told by a local to try contacting Ethan at Exhaust Pros, since he was the only one in Spearfish with experience working on Hybrids/EVs. He was SO kind and offered to look at our vehicle before we paid the hefty bill to have it towed the 285 miles; so we crawled ourselves to the shop. The lovely folks invited us in to keep warm, and even gave our dog water and a treat! Despite not having the onsite ability to fix us up since the issue was not mechanical, he took a look immediately (free of charge), gave us what information/advice he could, and confirmed we would indeed need to go to our car's company dealership. He also provided us with a local tow truck contact, which actually ended up being the cheapest we could find. Ethan understood we were in a difficult position that would not be resolved quickly, and offered to keep our vehicle safe in his lot while we retired to a hotel for the night to await our tow the next day. Ethan refused our offer to pay him for his help, and even graciously declined our small gesture to buy his team coffee and treats, as he knew we had some expensive bills ahead of us. We cannot thank Ethan and the fantastic team at Spearfish Exhaust Pros enough - they showed us compassion and kindness when no one else could help; even Emergency Roadside Assistance! We could tell they really do care about people, whether you're from the area, or just travelling through. Ethan did not hesitate to help us out however he could, and expected nothing in return. I don't know if we will ever be back in this area, but I would highly recommend the team at Spearfish Exhaust Pros to anyone.”

“Took my 2021 transit van in for an oil change. I found oil leaking onto my brand-new garage floor. Loose hardware hanging out from underneath. I contacted the General Manager who sent two technicians out to my house to check it out. They identified the problem and cleaned up the floor.”

“Spent the day touring Deadwood and discovered I had a tire with a slow leak that needed to be repaired at 5:40pm Monday. I called everyone within 10 miles of Deadwood, SD that was open and no one but the young man at Williams 66 in Spearfish would agree to stay open and plug my tire. Thank you for the excellent customer service from a desperate tourist.”

“I have a next door neighbor that needed to borrow a utility trailer. They had to be in Denver to pickup a piece of medical equipment on very short notice. Now my trailer needed some serious attention, and I was extremely reluctant to let them borrow it without some repairs done to it.They brought the trailer down to John at 7:00 am with no prior appointment. He had the wheel bearings packed, tires replaced and fixed faulty wiring to make the blinkers work again. They were on the road by noon that same day! I can't say enough good things about this place. I would highly recommend!!!”

“Called these guys around 5 PM on a Friday, their closing time. The answered & helped us out with 4 tires the following morning at 7:30 AM! We are from Salt Lake and needed to head all the way home that day. They were courteous, prompt and charged us a very fair price for all 4 tires on an Escalade. “I don't ever leave reviews, but the team at Great Western Tire in Spearfish is great! They always got my car looked at and fixed in a timely manner and had great communication. I had car issues looked at from other mechanics that did not end up fixing my car issues, but Great Western always managed to get them fixed and at affordable rates. I have recently moved states and wish I could have taken their team with me! It can be difficult to find trustworthy places to have your car fixed, but they are great!”

Mike was able to get the needed part in and get my vehicle back on the road before I had to leave on my return trip. They could've very easily over billed me, but they didn't. I was incredibly pleased when I got the bill and it was very reasonable. Glad to know there are still honest people in the world.”
