Sugar Shack
22495 US-385, DeadwoodGreat stop in the Black Hills! Sugar Shack Restaurant is a family-run spot with huge half-pound burgers and great atmosphere. Seating is self-serve — choose a table indoors or out, or grab a spot at the counter. Good music on the speakers, but still quiet enough to hold a conversation. The decor is fun, with funny signs on the walls throughout. Love supporting small, family-owned businesses like this one. Bonus: while you’re there, walk over and check out the world’s largest log chair nearby. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Jacobs Brewhouse Restaurant
79 Sherman St, DeadwoodTakes a bit to get waited on when they’re busy but that’s my only complaint. Food was awesome. Gouda cheese and turkey pasta was the creamiest tastiest pasta I’ve eaten.

Mustang Sally's
634 Main St, DeadwoodThis is a burger joint and they make good burgers. Service was great and we got food into the 13 year old who was starving. We tried the fried mushrooms appetizer and they were good. There is a good beer list of local beers in tap, plus bottles. Soft drinks are served in huge plastic cups.
