The rooms were very quaint and small, the beds were tight against the wall and cramped. The room has a heater air conditioner combination the kicks on at all points during the stay and was rather loud and annoying. The fire alarm battery was going out and could be heard with the loud chirp. Whatever you do, do not come to this hotel during the offseason as 75% of the hotel is shut down and all of the businesses in town barring one or two are also closed until May

We booked a room at the baymont hotel in keystone and it was sold to the ramada inn across the street. The Ramada inn was dirty the hvac did not work. Just too many issues to list. Some of them are even quite comical like they cannot serve continental breakfast. Because there's a restaurant down the street. And it's illegal for them to do. So is what we were told.

Spent an evening at Ramada while in the tourist town of Keystone. We made a reservation for the wrong evening but the staff was very accommodating to get us a room. The room and hallways seemed to be a bit compressed and narrow but functional. This also includes the bathroom but it is clean and can make it work. Although, due to the small and narrow area you can really only have one person in the bathroom at a time. This hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast but you do have a number of options within walking distance. No on site restaurants but again within walking distance of a number of places to eat. Very close to Mt Rushmore along with other tourist attractions. Reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels within Keystone or other small towns close by. Parking spaces near the hotel which are shared with other businesses.

The location is great, close to many popular things to do around Keystone. The bed was super uncomfortable. The curtain rod in the bathroom was rusty and the shower curtain was grimey. The room was clean other than that. The shower head was really low, so if you're taller, it's not the best shower experience. Not a lot of space in the rub either.

The room was very dated and not very clean. The tub didn't drain properly while showering. The vending machines were not stocked and three of them took money and wouldn't give it back. The air conditioning blew lukewarm air at best. The room was tiny.

Enjoyed our stay in rm 132. LG King room with super nice shower/tub. Hot water with great pressure. Only problem was the cable TV was missing most of the channels due to DISH contract. Room was clean and bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. No breakfast included here.Nearby activities: Just down the hill from Mt Rushmore.Walkability: There is lots of touristy stores and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is old, cramped, and I smelled lingering cigarette smoke at the tiny front desk (I’m super sensitive to smoke). Not a promising first impression. Our room smelled like BO. It was advertised to sleep 5 though there’s only 2 queen beds (maybe Expedia’s fault?). There isn’t breakfast for the price, though tourist locations tend to overcharge. I should’ve headed further out of town for a hotel. The redeeming trait is the fun pool (lots of kids for my kids to play with) and hot tub, though chemicals in the hot tub made my eyes burn and the pool was cold.Do not recommend.

During our stay, we booked a suite with a jacuzzi. The room itself was nice and small- but perfect for our needs. It had 2 queen beds, a small kitchen with a stove (a few plates and pots for our use), microwave, mini fridge, and cabinet space. We had room 222: pool view, which was very nice to peek at, and the fitness center right below us. We used the pool and hot tub during our stay and it was super nice and clean! Also, it was open until 10pm- a huge win for us! Clean towels were always availabe! And staff was very nice. The unfortunate side to this room was that the floor wall is super thin. Our first night we were woken up at 4am because of someone stomping around below us. We could literally hear and feel every step. The floor creaks were very loud and vibrations from the movement would literally shake us in bed - very annoying and disruptive for sure! There was a ceiling fan in the room that had not been dusted in I don't know how long, and the hot water to thr jacuzzi would come out dirty for the first 20 seconds then eventually clear up. Also, there is no daily room maintenance. So we would have to find trash bags for our room, go to the front desk and ask for any extra towels, etc. There is no free breakfast or guest discount for the restaurant attached to the hotel either. Good thing the hotel is right next to the boardwalk so it was very easy to walk and grab a bite to eat and explore the town.

Before we booked this hotel we called and were told they had pack and plays for infants. We even called and confirmed a week before our trip. When we arrived they said they did not so she had to sleep with us. Then I went to bathe my child and found this nasty, moldy looking patch in the bathtub, so she didn't get a bath either. Oh, and when I sat her down on the floor she picked up a chip. We didn't have any chips. Also found mold on the ceiling. So the room was dirty, the bathtub was repulsive, they don't have pack and plays even though they say they did, and our room was right next to the elevator so it was sooooooooooo loud. Constantly. Definitely wouldn't recommend.Food & drinks: No continental breakfast

Poor cleanliness and maintenance standards. Our room had several locations of mold with the worst being a failed bathtub fiberglass repair. Based on some other minor issues it was clear they don't care about how the rooms look. They also do not have cribs even though I called 2 different times to confirm a crib was available (once before booking and again 2 weeks before stay). We ended up making it work without one but would've much rather had our baby safe in her own bed. The room we were in also had the headboard of the bed up against the wall that the loud elevator shaft was on. This made it hard to sleep in. And lastly we found chips on the floor from a previous person that weren't ours which aligns with poor cleaning practices.I did like that the hotel was close to restaurants and shops though. Just wish they had tried harder to make things right and at no point offered a refund even after asking with the issues around no crib.

Rooms outdated but clean. Staff a bit unfriendly. Great spot. Book online for better price.

We were transferred here after Wyndham Baymont had issues with plumbing and couldn't open the "Good" hotel in Keystone. Was not the room we had planned for. However, their staff is super friendly and accommodating. Whirlpool was nice and hot with strong jets to relieve the soreness from all the walking and hiking we did in the Black Hills. Pool was deeper than we expected and that was another plus. Breakfast isn't the greatest but, the coffee is great and it is fast and free! Jacuzzi in our room was phenomenal. Granted we'd rather have been in Baymont but, we did get a discount and that REALLY made the difference in making it a great vacation for us! Wish I could have done a solid 3.5 stars. Thank you Ramada!

The hotel we booked online wasn't actually open for the season yet so our reservations were moved to the Ramada without informing us or asking if we wanted to go there instead, and when we finally got there, both rooms were dirty. The first room had mold on the ceiling and a hole the tub, and the second room had someone else's hair everywhere and some orange brownish stuff coming out into the tub.

Stayed at Ramada by Wyndham Keystone near Mt Rushmore recently. Location was good, but had a few issues. The breakfast was disappointing, not much variety. Also, had some trouble with the AC in the room. Staff was friendly though. Okay for a short stay, but could be better.

Was transferred here from another hotel. They were super nice and accommodating. This was much better for us than my original hotel. It is right next to everything in town. Loved it.Walkability: At the beginning of the main st.
