Easy to get to, right next to the river. Beautifully remodeled - looks fresh and was very clean! The pool area was a hit for our family - the little kid pool area with 1.5 ft of water was perfect for our youngest to splash in! We didn’t eat breakfast, but it looked awesome.

We got our room beautiful, awsome place, but we opened the mini fridge to put our stuff in and there was spoiled food in there it stunk up the room, we got a new room after the bellhop argued with us over it, then the shower curtain are straight up sheets so water leaks through them as u shower

Bathroom are small have to step into the shower to close the door. A clothes hanger does not fit between the door and the door to get into the shower. Breakfast meal was at best maybe on the warm side with no butter for French toast. About half way through finally, someone came I said there was no butter and when I left there still wasn’t any butter!

We were worried because other reviews had complaints about the complimentary breakfast...no complaints here. 1st day we went at 6am when it opened. Fully stocked buffet. So many fruit options including blackberries! Eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, cereal, pastries...easily a $60 ticket for 4 if it werent complimentary. We were so impressed by the options. 2nd day we went at 8am, 1 hour before closing and still fully stocked, with slightly different options than the day before. Our room was poolside. Humidity and sound from the pool was no problem. Large jacuzzi, and deep pool. Lots of tv channel optuons. Easy access to parking lot to unload, We loved it.

First stay at Ramkota in Pierre. My friend from the area recommended as she said it was recently renovated. Very friendly upon checking in and room was convenient for us as we had our new puppy with. Biggest knock is outside their control is the train tracks. Wheels screeching at 5am one morning and 11pm and 7am the next. Otherwise convenient location for us for swim meet.

Clean, well maintained, older, hotel layed out the way they used to be. Long walk from the lobby to rooms. Pool located in the middle. Continental breakfast included with stay. Although Pierre is the State capital, it's a very small town with a population of only 13,000. Set your expectations appropriately while traveling to or through Pierre.

We are in pierre a couple times a year. The last couple stays at Ramkota were very disappointing. This last time over fourth of July was bad. I don't think our room was even cleaned. My daughter also found a handful of random pills on the floor behind a bench she was trying to move. When asking for anything like towels or pool towels because they were empty we were told there was none available or not staff that were working to help.

We have stayed here several times when we come to fish with our boat. Ramkota always makes the experience memorable each time. The staff is attentive and friendly. We had the chance to eat in the bar a few nights . The wait staff was great, and we even got to have a fun chat with the manager. We will be back !

I guess this place is sleep optional. The air conditioner is like a cement truck driving through your bedroom.
