“Staff was friendly, they had some brands I'm interested in trying for my dog that of never seen before on a typical store shelf, which was cool. Plus treats for my cats. I loved seeing the healthier dog treat options available on the shelf, and the clerk helping me was so great and helped explain some things I wasnt sure about as far as the right balance for my dog.”

I've gotten four very healthy birds there over the years, and I've never felt rushed or belittling calling to ask care-related questions now that I'm a first-time cockatiel owner. “We have been on repeat delivery for cat litter (3 cat household) for over 3 years. Our January shipment made it as far as Colorado and FedEx decided they did not want to deliver it so it has been sitting in Colorado since 1/22/2026. The payment for our February repeat delivery had already came out of our account and we were concerned that we would not get our February shipment either, so we went into our Rapid City, SD store.

They cancelled the January order, put the money on a gift card and found us 3 bottles of litter to replace the January delivery, even though they did not have exactly what we had ordered, they still met the online price.

They then cancelled the February order, put that money on a separate gift card and got us 3 more bottles of litter for the February order.

All in all they were more than helpful, more than professional, more than friendly. They went FAR above and beyond to make us feel like we were not bothering them and they handled the problem instead of just sending us away to Corporate, which most places would have done.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Rapid City PetCo store, and their staff. They are the VERY BEST at what they do and they treat their customers like family.
