Today we went to Scheel’s because my son’s fairly new bike had a part going bad. We took it to the service department and Kaleb Zook went above and beyond to make sure it was taken care of. I’m a Scheel’s fan for life and today was another great example of how fantastic their employees are. Big thank you to Kaleb and all the other employees in other departments who helped us today!

This review starts with my wife and I buying our first ever hiking shoes/boots and then an amazing return process. Rebekah helped us with buying. We knew literally nothing. I had started to research before we went, to try to learn, but figured we'd let the experts coach us along, and then just try some on. She was incredibly patient and encouraged us to try on as many pairs as it took to get it right. We both found the ones we loved and got them. After 1 hike my wife realized that hers neeeeeeded to be 1/2 size larger so that her toes didn't scrunch up in the front when walking downhill on hikes. We had tossed the boxes, the receipt, and she had replaced the insoles with premium orthotics so we tossed the original insoles also. She called and they said "no problem, bring them in". Super easy and fast return, got the right size. We know Scheels to be a quality operation with great customer service and we experienced in the Rapid City Schools this week! Thanks Schools and Rebekah!

I went into sheels for the first time and was impressed by the amount of stuff they had but what was lacking was even with the amount of workers they had on the floor not one said hello to me or asked if I needed help finding anything. The only one to greet me was a cashier as I walked in. The other workers were too busy talking to each other and avoiding customers.

The staff was so friendly from sizing my girls for cleats to picking out bats and taking them to the back to a batting net and letting them try the bats out to make sure they got a good size and weight for them.

Scheels has a great selection of almost anything from socks, shoes, exercise equipment, bikes, and clothing. That is a very short list of all they carry. The store is always very clean. The staff is always warm and welcoming and even more helpful. Scheels is one of the go to stores we visit often. We are able to find the items we need and support local. We don’t prefer to shop online. We have ordered items a few times that weren’t in stock in the size we needed. The staff made the process incredibly easy and convenient. The store will also price match. Check with staff in additional details.
