I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting this establishment, where every single staff member managed to stroll in 15 minutes past the opening time. Shockingly, not a single apology was offered by the manager or employees for their tardiness. To add to the disappointment, I was handed a truck that was nearly empty, and despite reserving equipment days in advance, it seems the concept of fulfilling reservations is alien to them. Basic principles like respect for others' time, time management, and common courtesy seem to have been discarded, perhaps conveniently blamed on COVID-19. Whatever happened to accountability and initiative?

Made a reservation for 6:30 am and no one put the keys in the lock box. Waited for over an hour because they were supposed to open at 7 but the manager didn’t show up to let the employees in until a customer called the manager nearly 20 min after the store was supposed to open.

Dylan is the nicest guy ever! I had no idea about anything and he took a lot of time to inform me so I can get my daughter moved to another state. Certainly the best customer service ever! He went above and beyond.Highly recommend.

This location has a large selection of trucks, trailers, and supplies. It's the largest Uhaul dealer in Sioux Falls. Previous reviews mention an understaffing issue, and during my recent visit, there were multiple people being trained by the manager at checkout. Though the wait was exhaustive (30+ minutes), I understood the dilemma. For faster service, there's a self service mobile checkout option. I can scan and pay for boxes and supplies on my phone and walk out. This past visit, I noticed other employees tidying and sweeping the floor of the store upon arrival. There were also a couple employees on the lot helping with directing traffic / preparing vehicles. All in all, I like this location, but they really need to maintain some quality help inside to keep the gears moving.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!! WARNING ALL: DO NOT CHOOSE THIS U-HAUL LOCATION. They stole my iPad out of a contracted truck and refuse to give it back. Also, towed my truck after I called multiple times to have it extended and I paid them over 2,000$ for my move!! Lastly, the general manager (Xavier) had the nerve to raise his voice at a paying customer and get disrespectful with me. Requesting a full refund from u-haul and in process of completing police report against these thief’s!

They never answer the phone which is absolutely dangerous if the uhaul was to break down in the middle of no where.

If you love sitting in line for at least 30-45 minutes, then this is the place for you! Horribly understaffed. Save your time and go somewhere where there is more than a single employee running the place.

IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION AND LADY CASHIER SAID THEY DONT HAVE ANY AVAILABLE, CALL THE HOTLINE BECAUSE SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SHE'S DOING (According to the manager).This happened 7/31, Monday on a busy day.We had the reservation through their website. When we got here, the lady cashier couldn't find our reservation but when we looked at the list of reservation our name was clearly in there. Then she told us they didn't have one available because they didn't get any returns. Obviously we had to call the hotline because they had a reservation guarantee or they'll pay $50. Hotline did say they have some available and she needed to talk to the manager. Eventually the manager said they did have an available trailer, the lady cashier just didn't know how to do it. It was either she didn't know how to do it ot she doesn't want to do it either way it took around >1hr to just get a trailer.

If a 0 star was an option I would press it until my screen cracked. This was literally the worst experience a person could have trying to get a uhaul. More than a 1 1/2 line wait completely unacceptable They had one person maning desk, getting the trucks ready, losing the same ready trucks they just got ready, having no knowledge about online reservations and how the keybox system simply mind-blowing... the staff is the only thing worth a star, he helped with all he could but they aka UHaul left him high and dry. They ought to be downright embarrassed and truly ashamed for not staffing that place properly . Whoever manages this place to be fired for life. Get it together...

Is it company policy that for the last 20 -30 minutes of the shift the employees put customers on hold and hang up on customers? That’s exactly what happened in calling this place DONT want my money?

Tried to reserve a one-way rental from this location. Was called 3 days before pick-up to confirm, all seemed good to go. Then one day before pick-up, they tried to move the pick-up to Yankton. Really niceI had to book a local rental from closer to my drop-off, spending an extra $300 in the process (plus fuel)If Penske wasn't so much more expensive, I'd say stick with them and avoid this conduct by U-Haul all together

It was clear that when we arrived they had rented our pickup truck to someone else last minute and then made up a story about a broken window (while the guy drives the pickup over to pick up a trailer). It was blatant, but they did give us a van that worked for us.Beware of the mileage, what they dont tell you is sure it's $19.95 for the truck, but the mileage will equal about $50-$60 for just going back and forth for 20-30 miles in total usage.

We had our ups and downs with U-Haul but I can't deny that the benefits outweighed our negative experience. So the pros: open on the weekends and longer than the 8-5 workday - have a large selection of truck and trailer sizes - they offer propane refills - they offer storage units - you can reserve a truck online.The cons: someone double booked our truck so we ended up needing to wait for an extra hour and a half before we could get the truck we reserved - they were extremely busy and didn't have much staff over the weekend - the parking lot is inadequate for the amount of traffic and trucks they have.There are many extra items in the shop I didn't realize were there but makes sense to be there such as car bike racks and additional packing supplies.If they were able to get a larger facility and more staff to meet the demand of the Sioux Falls area, they would have a good thing going. Mind you, the staff we did encounter was good but they were overwhelming busy.

Nobody at this business let me know I would be charged for every mile over 85.Imagine my freaking surprise when my 175$ bill turned into 450$.This company is horrible and their employees are not organized or helpful.Use a different location.
