Howdy's Whitewood Plaza has been a local store since 1985, known for its small town charm and friendly staff. It offers a large selection of convenience supplies and is a go-to place for groceries in Whitewood. Despite changing ownership and some recent changes in meat quality, it remains a helpful and welcoming store. The staff's chatty attitude reflects the friendly South Dakota spirit, making it a great spot to support local workers and find what is needed without leaving town.
Love this little place! The staff are welcoming and personable, and very good about remembering names and faces. I am always left feeling glad I stopped by.

Was open in 1985 when I first moved to Whitewood. Originally owned and operated by good local people. Recently sold to new owners but kept its small town charm.

Everyone is friendly and I can get what I can for my family
