“We were 775 miles from home on a mini fall vacation when our truck decided to stop working. After talking with 4 dealerships and multiple repair shops... all telling us 3 to 4 weeks out before they would even be able to LOOK at it, I called Southside Service. What an amazing experience. We talked on the phone first and Pat gave us some ideas on what to try. In the end we had it towed to Southside. Before we could get to the shop Pat had it up on the lift and found we had a failed Starter. Pat called to find a Starter and we chose to go pick it up. Back in Pat's hands he had it installed and back on the road in less than two hours. We cannot say enough good things about Southside Service and Pat the Owner. If you need help and it just feel like no one wants to help... Call Southside Service. They are fast, honest, fair and willing to help. I feel blessed that we found this place. Our vacation turned out so good and a big reason was Pat. Thank you for your help!”

“Great gas station/convenience store. Very friendly staff, always having a hello and a smile when you enter. Has a little casino connected with slots if you are needing a break from the road. Is open 24hrs a day so that is very handy when you are not on any set schedules and looking for a midnight snack. Has a small selection of gift shop /souvenir style items.”
“Great selection of Sturgis, SD and the multiple rallies apparel and nik-naks. There is a casino in the back, and a decent selection of grocery items. Easy access. Also has 91 octane with no ethanol available. There is a picnic table and a decent area to chill out back.”
“I refer to these subs as gourmet subs. Comparing it to subway is shameful, as Sturgis Subs is vastly superior!!! I recommend the Turkey Bacon Club and their homemade creamy horseradish or fresh guacamole. If you want some flavor, this is your place!”
“i've been giving this little shop my business for 15ish years. The owner, and her kids are very kind and welcoming. i've been shown many acts of kindness and generosity from them. i appreciate the fact that they want my business, and i'm glad to give it to them. heck, the owner bought my dads last tank of gas before he passed away...we were going to the Dr for his cancer... it was a very touching gesture, and wont ever be forgotten.”

“The staff here are very friendly. The best part is this business does not require the back of ID to be scanned into their database when buying age restricted items. They use common sense and treat you like a human being. It's one of the few businesses in Lead that respect your privacy and don't participate in data collecting the info off the back of your license. I highly recommend this place. I feel welcomed here every time I go in.”

“The customer service at Dakotamart Gas is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I thought I mistakenly threw my driver's license, credit cards, and other things away in the garbage while getting gas. (I'm from out of state so this was a PROBLEM!) I called in a panic and Deborah (the assistant manager) and Bobbie (employee) volunteered to look through the garbage cans since it hadn't been collected yet! In the meantime, I located my cards in my vehicle and called them back to thank them for their above and beyond service. You want small town service, this is your place!! :)”

“This appeared to be a new facility, or one that has only been open for a short time. Beautiful store with everything a traveler or local resident would expect from a c-store and more. There is an attached Dickey's BBQ restaurant. The restaurant even provides catering services.”

“Needed gas, was on empty, scared to pull in because of deadwood traffic right there. Surprisingly, to me, it was not difficult to navigate out once I pulled in. Happy to see prices were no more expensive than in Spearfish.”
