Petsense by Tractor Supply
1511 Congress Pkwy S, AthensTop Notch Management. Responsive to customers. Clean and well stocked store. Actively working with local pet rescue groups to find homes for animals needing forever homes. I saw 2 young cats for adoption that were in clean spaces with more room than typical pet stores. Thank you!

Pet Grooming
Happy Hounds
203 W Washington Ave, AthensThey do great job, and the drive out to the shop is gorgeous. Not cheap, but this is probably a "get what you pay for" thing. I picked up happy, well groomed babies and I'll be back when it's time again.

Pet Care
Family & Friend Pet Clinic
111 New Englewood Road, AthensIf I could give more than 5 stars I would. This morning I had to come in and they helped my baby cross the rainbow bridge. The amount of care, compassion, and empathy all the staff had was incredible. I didn’t have an appointment but called right when they opened after a long night of him not doing well and they said to bring him in right away. After it was done a staff member even offered me a hug. 10/10. Thank you Family and Friends clinic for making one of my worst days a little better.

Animal Clinic of Athens: Lowery Carey DVM
828 Rocky Mt Road, AthensOur Kitty we rescued from being a hungry, feral kitten, rejected by her mother ( we worked very hard to gain her trust and very successfully move her in with us); unfortunately swallowed something dangerous. We brought her into the clinic, were taken back very promptly and the doctor did surgery within the hour. We were SO EXTREMELY impressed at how swift and smoothly the entire process was from the moment we walked in!! We were thoroughly educated of the surgery and any and all risks involved. The doctor and the surgery was very successful! The entire staff involved in her care contacted us a couple times a day during her recovery time there and followed up with us when we brought her home! They saved her life; very grateful. We would not take our animals anywhere else!

I’ve been to plenty of other clinics but Offutt always takes time to listen and explain things to me. I couldn’t be happier here and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Pawsitively K9
1781 TN-30 East, AthensI have been taking my dog to Pawsitively K9 for boarding for a year and a half. I can definitely tell Johnny really knows dogs and will cater and adjust with your dog’s personality. My dog Hank is always so excited when we pull in. The dogs spend most of the time playing and socializing. I can tell Hank gets a ton of energy out because whenever I bring him home he is worn out for the next 3 days! The prices are very reasonable and the dogs receive the most excellent individual care. I cannot recommend Pawsitively K9 enough. I will always bring my dog here for boarding.

Small's Drive In
802 South White Street, AthensIt's a fun place to take you back to a carhop era. The carhops were very nice young ladies, the food was great, real burgers not flattened out patties. My husband wasn't a fan of the slaw on the hotdog but other than that it was great!

Athens Animal Shelter
320 South Jackson Street, AthensEternity was such a lovely and amazing person to be in contact with about trying to trap to spay/neuter the feral cats on my farm. She was very helpful and we are currently in the process of getting the cats TNR as fast as possible to ensure that the multitude of litters being born out here diminishes. Super helpful and super friendly staff.
