It is my first time owning fish and I was having a hard time cycling my tank in a timely manner (trying and struggling for almost two weeks)... They gave me some magical stuff and my tank started cycling within a few hours... I was very shocked and surprised!! That was actually amazing and I will definitely be a repeat customer now that I can actually start stocking fish! They also answered questions for OVER AN HOUR very patiently which I really appreciated! There was no judgement and I felt very welcomed. Thank you so much John and Roy!! I will see you next week!

She had little issues at House of Pets Grooming! They understood the situation and had no problem letting my dog come in to test the waters, both figuratively and literally. They treated her gently, but firmly enough to make sure she didn't jump out of the tub!
I can't thank them enough for the professionalism and great job they did. They were also just really fun to talk to :-)!

I brought my 2-year-old Manx, Yena, in for her spay, and while they were in there, the vet found something no one else had caught. She'd been having bladder issues, and at first everyone thought it might be Manx syndrome. Turns out it was these little fetal membranes — things that are supposed to dissolve after birth but never did in her case — and they were pulling on her bladder and causing all her problems.
They took care of it right then and there during the spay. Didn't charge me extra. Didn't make a big deal out of it. Just fixed it because that's what was best for her.
That's how you know a vet actually cares about animals, not just the bill. They could have easily tacked on a separate charge for what they found, but they didn't. They just did the right thing.
This is also why spays are so, so important — if I hadn't brought her in for it, we never would have found what was really wrong with her.
I now drive two and a half hours each way for her vet visits, and honestly that's just fine with me. As long as she can keep going to Shallowford, I'll make the drive. You don't find vets like this every day.
I can't recommend them enough. They treat your pets like their own.

While they do seem a bit pricey, I know my animals are safe and well taken care of here. The staff and doctors aren’t afraid to get in there and look at every inch of your animals. I have a German shepherd, so I can always appreciate when people aren’t afraid of them!
They also offer boarding here for relatively cheap, so that’s a plus. I was able to board my dog for a week while we went on vacation, and I felt good knowing I could trust them. They even called to ask about giving her some anxiety meds since she struggles with that, so that was nice too.

My baby, Charlie has been visiting since he was a pup and just brought in our cat, Marjorie. We rescued our cat recently and received the most empathetic and thorough appointment for both pets. We had to make a return visit with our Great Dane Fancy Monday Sept 21 2026..ALL staff was so caring for Fancy. I feel she was given the best care possible. The Dr was remarkably gentle and very knowledgeable of Fancys needs.. Even towards me the staff showed care cause I was crying in fear for the worst. Ty hiway 58 for taking care of my baby. All 109 pounds of her. Lol

They are communicative while I am away, if my dog doesn't eat her food they offer her bananas. They are so sweet to her! I love that she gets to attend daycare with other dogs while she boards so she has plenty of social time and comes home tired. She just got her first bath from them and it went great! Highly recommend.

My doodles have been groomed at other places & I literally wanted to cry sad tears after picking them up because of their awful cuts. But Jordan is phenomenal at cutting doodles! He is patient, thorough, & really takes his time. In fact, today our Veterinarian asked where I got our doodle groomed. The vet said he had a good cut. I will never take my boys anywhere other than Aqua Dog. Keep up the great work Jordan!!

Many local restaurants use bread from this bakery because of the consistency in the quality and taste. Also, the pastries and cookies are delicious. The staff is welcoming and provides excellent service. There is a nice covered patio and tables inside for dining. You can get coffee, tea, or hot chocolate any time of day.
I recommend this restaurant without reservation.

We had to give up our sweet kitty due to personal health issues and they were so warm and caring, from the staff to the volunteers. When I walked in with Josie, a teenage volunteer immediately took her from my arms and cuddled her. He was so gentle. ?
I also appreciate their screening requirements: spaying, shots, testing, microchip, etc. This only confirms that they require and deliver the best of care for their pets. God Bless this Pet Placement Center. You are providing a good service! ?

Trooper's Treasures
2290 Gunbarrel Rd STE 168, ChattanoogaWe just adopted our 2nd fur-baby from Trooper's in January 2026, our first was in February of 2022. The adoption applications are very thorough, each pup was healthy and well taken care of in foster homes, and their shots were up to date. Communication was great! On both adoptions Ruth followed up after us taking possession to see how the pup was fitting in and if there was anything we needed. Ruth handled scheduling each of their spay appointments at Dixie Day Spay and followed up with a phone call after each of their surgeries to see how they were doing. We've had great experiences with Trooper's Treasures and highly recommend them for your next adoption.
