“I don't even know where to start. Everyone in their was so kind and generous. Marines don't cry and I almost teared up about four different times. You know outside my family no one has ever said thank you for your service until I went in there. Most generally when people find out I was in the Marine corps. The next thing that they want to know are questions, where were you stationed? What did you do? Where all did you live? Did you ever do this? Did you ever do that? Nobody ever says thank you.
