“I love our Dollar General stores.But I bought a pool for my grandchildren to play in on the 4th so needless to say they didn't get to use their pool because it wouldn't hold air.Took it back to the store ask nicely about trading it in for another one.The lady (Very Rude) told me there's nothing they could do about it.Even tho I didn't have my recipe to show them.it was in it's original package,I was told they couldn't let me get another one.People I wasn't asking for money back I was asking for another pool for the kids.Needless to say the lady was very rude ..So just wanted to say ty Dollar General for ruining my grandchildrens day.I promise I ll never shop there again.Good Day...”
“Great place for cards, crafts, cleaning supplies, storage containers, and gift bags. Birthday cards for $1 vs. $5.99 at other places. Also fun place for holiday decor, or art supplies for kids, and office supplied.”
“I had forgotten my toilet paper and was able to go back and get it even after they closed. A guy walked out and handed me the toilet paper I had left definitely happy with the service great late night staff too”
“This is a pretty great DG in Columbia, Tennessee. This store is in a plaza with other stores, so it is quite small, but is pretty neatly spaced inside. There are some sections that are cluttered and messy, so you would definitely not be able to push a buggy through. Staff were nice.”
“All the Dollar General Stores are great and great low prices. Usually a friendly staff depends on which one. My favorite is the one on Bear Creek they are always polite and the store is always nice and clean.”

“Cashier was friendly and very helpful. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair so her helpfulness and great attitude was very much appreciated. Some aisles were too narrow for my wheelchair to go through though.”
“This is the only Family Dollar remaining in Columbia, and it's pretty good. It's in a plaza so it is relatively tight inside, and quite clean. I didn't interact with employees personally but I did overhear them being lively and friendly.

“Outstanding Local Dollar General – My Go-To Spot!
I absolutely love this local Dollar General! From the moment you walk in, the store is clean, well-organized, and surprisingly well-stocked for the size. The staff is always friendly and helpful—especially the manager, who greets everyone with a smile and goes out of their way to make sure you find what you need.
They have an incredible selection of everyday essentials at prices that actually make a difference in my budget. Whether I’m grabbing pantry staples, household cleaners, pet supplies, or last-minute snacks for the kids, I know I’ll find quality items without breaking the bank. The fresh produce and refrigerated section have been a game-changer too—way better than I expected from a dollar store!
What really sets this location apart is how quickly they restock and how neat the aisles stay, even during busy times. Checkout is always fast, and they’ve started carrying a nicer variety of seasonal items and home goods that feel like a step above the usual.
If you’re in the area and haven’t stopped by this Dollar General yet, you’re missing out on one of the best-run stores around. Affordable, convenient, and run by people who clearly care—five stars all the way! I shop here multiple times a week and couldn’t be happier.

“Yes we went there yesterday I rode to Columbia with my friend see the doctor and we had to go get some cat food so I went in and went with my friend and they were very nice and place is really clean bathrooms are really good.and they got nice friendly people that come in and out of there and that worked there. I really like going in that store.”

“Super nice people working here. I visited last night to grab a frozen pizza and some jerk of a customer was yelling at the cashier. He talked down to her in the most rude and disrespectful way. Based on what I observed, it was the customer who was in the wrong. If he wasn't already heading out the door, I would have intervened. She and her boss (the manager, I think) handled it with such professionalism and courtesy. I don't think I would have been as nice, if I had been in their shoes. Every time I visit, the staff is so nice and helpful. They always have what I need and pricing is very affordable.”
“Actually this location at my time of visit looked wonderful. Its not normal to see boxes off the floor. Everything well stocked. Floors were clean. Am sure as you know, it doesn't always look like that when walking into a Dollar General. I was able to find what I was looking for and was able to pay and leave hassle free. Great job ? very impressed”

“This is a pretty good Dollar Tree in Columbia, Tennessee. It used to be a Family Dollar, but has since switched to this. It is a bit cluttered and disorganized in some sections, but is otherwise clean and well staffed.”
