“They have a good hot case with fried chicken wings, cheese sticks, french fries, chicken sandwhichss, cheeseburgers, ect. I bought some food and it was all hot and cooked through with steam off bones. The bathroom was clean with hot sink water.”

“Okay, I get the hype. It was nice to be able to stop here for gas, the bathrooms, and REAL food. I was even able to find some proper gifts for an upcoming birthday I was traveling through TN for. It's like a mall. It definitely rivals Iowa's biggest truck stop.”

“This location is amazing! The renovations are beautiful. The flooring is quite upscale. I love the salad bar. They added a Starbucks. The employees are helpful and kind. I always find cool things that I have to buy. Oh yeah, the prices are great, too.This area has been our favorite vacation spot for the past 8 years. It keeps getting better.”

“This was a good truck stop. FYI, do not reserve parking over here. There is a huge gravel parking lot right next to the Pilot free of charge! There is Wendy's located in this truck stop. The showers are not very big, but they are clean and the water gets hot. The only thing is there's not a lot of pressure. But its very much doable.”

“From a truck driver perspective and my personal experience. The store is always clean in appearance and the employees are always welcoming. I personally don’t like walking in a store and the workers having to yell welcome to Pilot. I like it to feel I’m welcome when I check out and communicate with the clerks and staff as I make my way through the visit. The truck parking lot and fuel islands are sometimes chaotic and gets backed up from trucks parked in no parking areas in the entrance (I’m talking about when empty spots are still available in legal spaces) and trucks trying to go out the entrance because the exit doesn’t seem to be clearly marked with signs or arrows pointing towards the exit. A guy named Brian works in the parking lot is always very helpful any time I’ve had questions about the pumps and I appreciate him, and his work ethic seems to support his knowledge because he has the answers and he’s always working when in there. The shower I used was clean and stocked with everything I needed and on 7/8/25 that man (didn’t get a name) cleaning on the evening shift was working hard keeping the shower clean and available to accommodate the line. Over all it was and always is a good fuel and rest stop for the American trucking industry.”

Picture this: I'm cruisin' down the highway, my mind in a nostalgic haze, when I catch a glimpse of a sign that reads "Mr. Zip." Whoa, baby! Memories of my rad childhood come crashing back like a monster wave, hittin' me right in the feels. It's been over 25 gnarly years since I last laid eyes on a Mr. Zips, and that sign beckoned me to travel back in time, bro.Driven by this epic wave of nostalgia, I eagerly glide into the gas station, hoping to immerse myself in a glorious blast from the past. But hold up, brah! As I stepped inside, my nostrils were assaulted by a wild combination of sweet Mary Jane and the intoxicating scent of Fabuloso. Talk about a bummer, man! But hey, I'm not one to let a little ol' smell dampen my spirits, so I shook it off like water off a duck's back and pressed on with my quest.As I cruised through the aisles, the store revealed its quirks, man. Right in front of me, I noticed an unexpected surprise: a rad selection of handcrafted incense. It was like walking into a psychedelic temple of aromas, where each scent wafted through the air like a groovy melody. I couldn't help but feel like I stumbled upon a secret stash of cosmic fragrances, carefully curated for the enlightened souls who grace this funky gas station.Now, let's talk about the peeps working the register, bro. They seemed to have been in the presence of, uh, let's just say too much of that unmistakable smell. But you know what? Despite their hazy demeanor, they were totally chill and friendly. I guess when you're surrounded by a symphony of funky aromas, it's hard not to let the good vibes flow, right?So, my dudes and dudettes, despite the initial letdown of the pungent blend of herb and cleaning products assaulting my senses, this Shell Gas Station with its Mr. Zip sign and groovy incense selection managed to conjure up a wave of nostalgic euphoria in my soul. The laid-back folks at the register, even with their own cosmic adventures, still managed to make this journey worthwhile.
