“Thought I needed new brake pads and rotors due to squeaking on my vehicle when I braked. I took it to this shop to get an inspection thinking I was going to have to pay hundreds of dollars for new brakes. They called me to let me know my brakes were in fine condition and could go for possibly 30k more miles. I hate to say it but 90% of other mechanics would have told me I needed new pads and rotors because I was very unknowledgeable about what I needed. This shop was honest and led with integrity and saved me tons of money. It was very refreshing to have a business care more about their customers than simply making money.
My full service oil change was also $70 cheaper than Express Oil. Don’t think I will go anywhere else for my auto needs now.”

“I went in over a noise that was making me worried. The technicians drove it and thought it was fine and double-checked when I asked again. I think I was just paranoid about normal creaks, so I didn't get anything major fixed.
They were very honest and didn't try to fix problems that weren't there, so I'll definitely go back to them if I need to in the future.”

“My husband's truck was making weird noises and we were it was the transmission. We were worried about the cost and started looking around to see where we could take it. After about a week or so of searching, we decided to go with Gears Transmission. They did say it would take about 3 weeks or so for the truck to be ready.
I would call them at least once a week to see how the process is going and Steve would gladly give me updates.
It did take them about a month to fix the truck, but that was ok.
As we were picking up the truck, they apologized to us for taking so long and thanked us for our patience. We were told they are a bit understaffed and there is a lot of work to be done, but they got it done.
Before we left, we were told to call or come back if there are any issues with the truck.
I would 100% go back to them if something happens to the truck again.
I understand some people don't have the patience to wait, but that doesn't mean Gears Transmission is a bad place to take your vehicle.
Thank you to everyone who worked on the truck!”

“These guys are amazing!!!!. My truck broke down , half mile down the road when I got to town to pick up a truck purchased. My water pump went out. Someone recommended me to these guys. I showed up and they did.not mess around. Got my truck right in. Changed the water pump, belt,tensioner , heater hose and put everything back together in 6 hours total! Getting me back on the road to oklahoma same day. This whole team was super helpful and such respectful people. What an all around amazing job!!!. If I lived up here id be a repeat customer!!. Give these people your buisness you wont regret it. Thank you again for all you guys did for me to get me back home!.”
“I have used Fryar's Auto Service for many years, and have never been disappointed with the quality of work. My parents and sister's family (spouse and 3 adult children) are loyal customers, and, based on my recommendation, a deacon at my church used Fryar's for his car's needs.
Just be sure to ask for an estimate before they start any work. They tend to jump right into the repairs.
If you need headlight bulbs replaced, make sure they know what type you want: regular, halogen, or LED, or they will put in the cheapest bulbs. Same with car batteries. Make sure you're clear on what you want in your car.”
“Home visiting family in Chattanooga and the day before I'm supposed to leave my Jeep overheated. Guy at O'Reilly steered me to this shop and boy was that the best advice I've been given in a very long time. Limped into the shop the next morning, 30 minutes before officially opening mind you, and Patrick took me without hesitation. Fixed same day and when I went back to pick it up he told me no charge. Literally said it didn't need anything other than burping and refilling the coolant and there was no charge. Forced him to take some cash and shook his hand. Disaster averted thanks to this shop.”
“I was driving my daughter to collage and her transmission had a problem. We were 580 miles from home with 1300 miles to go. We pulled in and asked for help and help is what we got for sure. Troy and his wonderful guys had us back on our way with not much delay at all. He explained the problem is a way that two clueless women could understand and made a completely stressful situation calm and manageable. We do not live here but I would highly recommend using this shop if you ever have to.”
“With only an hour to closing on a Friday, the guys here took amazing, swift care of me and my car! I was traveling from out of state, alone with my one year old child, and has just gotten repair work done from my home auto shop. My car was suddenly having issues, I pulled off and called here. They got me in, diagnosed the issue, fixed it so I could get back on the road safely, and told me how to explain to my original people that they messed up. “These guys are fantastic! Monday afternoon I was traveling thru Chattanooga when the dashboard told me that the battery was not charging. I needed to go to Kingsport that evening and knew that my truck would not make it just on the battery. I have had my truck repaired at Hixson Transmission in the past and immediately called them. They didn’t make any promises, but were willing to check it out. I pulled in just after 4:00 PM and a technician checked it out and confirmed that the alternator was barely working. They offered to get it done the next day, but when I explained that I really needed to be in Kingsport and was not prepared to stay the night in Hixson and that I had my wife and grandson with me, they immediately ordered the part, and removed the old alternator. The new one was delivered and installed quickly and we were on our way shortly after 5:00 PM. These guys really hustled and even stayed a little over to help us out! I would recommend them unconditionally!”

“Had my 2008 RAV4’s transmission rebuilt here and I’m very happy with the experience. Throughout the whole process Jason and Devon were very communicative about where they were in this process. They were very thorough and informed me of any worn parts they found along the way that needed to be replaced. They also removed the factory transmission cooler and upgraded it to a more effective Tru-Cool cooler. They gave my 228,000 mile Toyota a new life. Being a mechanic I have always been hesitant to bring my vehicle anywhere to have work done but with something this invasive I had no choice. Glad I brought my car here. Next time I need anything transmission related , I’ll be back.”

“I’ve taken multiple cars here over the years and consistently had a great experience. Consultative and willing to listen to your concerns. They will even give you a shuttle ride downtown! The only thing to note is they do not take appointments, so it can get busy in the mornings, but they were upfront that it might be the next day until they could get to it. They surprised us and finished it same day, which was a SIGNIFICANTLY better experience than the dealership. I will go here always moving forward!”
