We have been with Farmers since 2017. We had car, home and umbrella coverage. We had no claims. We received our 2023 renewal notices which indicated our home insurance was going up 45% and car insurance 13%. Over a 2 year period our auto went up 30%. Again with no claims.I called Mr. Clingan office to request a reason why. I was told by the woman that answered the phone she would give information to Mr. Clingan and he would call me back in a couple of days. He would probably quote me from another underwriter to get a better rate. No callback in a couple of days. Over the next approximately 10 days I left 5 messages trying to get a answer as my renewal date was weeks away. No response on any calls at this point.I wound up getting insurance with State Farm. Rates were much better for same coverage. We saved almost $800 a year on car insurance. We saved $300 on our home insurance. My last call to Mr. Clingan’s office was to tell them I was not renewing. Some time after that I got a call from an agent from Mr. Clingan’s office that told me he was a new employee on the job for a week. He was responding to my non renewal message. Our name was on his list of people to call.I don’t know what went wrong in Mr. Clingan’s office but he needs to know he lost a customer due to poor customer service.

I canceled my policy three months ago and did not get my refund. I contact them multiple times and no answer. Stay away from this company.

I switched to Farmers insurance from State Farm for about a year and a half. I did not have a pleasant experience with Danni in Kevin Clingan's office. When I first switched to Farmers, they gave me a quote, and everything was fine. And then after a few weeks, they denied my insurance. I had a few claims in the last couple of years. So, when I switched, I disclosed all of them and double checked to make sure they were okay with the history. Danni said it was okay and then the underwriter did not prove my insurance. They switched me to a third party which was under Farmers Insurance. I was not happy. After just a couple of months, that third party company decided to cancel my policy because my chimney was not in good condition. Luckily, I just got my chimney replaced and they reinstated my insurance. Okay, that was quite a bumpy experience. After a year, my homeowner insurance increased more than 30%. I asked Danni why the insurance increased so much, and she said she would check into it. After 3 and a half months, she did not give me an answer. That's the story of the homeowner insurance.The umbrella insurance was tripled in 2022.The auto insurance was the last straw for me to quit Farmers completely. I owned multiple cars and normally just used two cars for commuting. I normally would put the other cars as garage policy. In January 2023, I bought a used 2010 Lexus GS 350 and asked Danni to insure this car as liability only from January to February 15 which is my regular renewal date. She requested for more $500 payment for 45 days with liability only. The liability only policy for that car is about 250 dollars for half a year. I asked her the details of the payment and she did not answer. I had enough and decided to switch back to State Farm. It turned out I paid less money for a much higher coverage for my homeowner insurance. I only paid 1/3 o the price for umbrella insurance with more coverage. And the auto insurance is $250 for six months for my old 2010 Lexus with liability only.

Kudos to Amanda from the Clingan Agency of Farmers Insurance - she guided us through some confusion associated with buying a new auto five days before our policy auto-renewed. Altho the office is closed due to the pandemic, via phone and emails she was able to help us get our ducks in a row. Always helpful and cheerful - much appreciated!
