While the staff at Kroger can't hold a candle to how polite people are at Publix, it is overall a convenient store. They tend to have most of what I am looking for, but good luck if you need an actual person to ask a question to. Otherwise, convenient and usually quite clean but sometimes seems to run out of stock of items.

Upon returning home and attempting to use the groceries I spent my inflation inflated money on, the coffee creamer was expired and curdled and my tortellini was covered in mold. I expect more from my grocery store as to not have to check every expiration date. Pitiful staff to allow food expired for almost two months to remain on the shelf. Buyer beware, God knows I would never buy anything not prepackaged from them in the future (meat, seafood) and make sure you check every date. I know, my fault for not checking.

MANAGER - CUSTOMER SERVICE There's this ongoing issue with the Kroger brand plain seltzer that tastes like fruit. It's an entire batch of a date on the water. This months batch is Oct 27 2023. I feel like at some point there was a buy the Kroger brand of something and if you didn't like it, you could exchange for the name brand of that item. That's not the case anymore (and not sure how long it's been that way). Report has been made to Kroger manufacturing. Especially since if you're diabetic and get some fruit sugars in your plain seltzer that could be a liability. All returns exchanges is up to the discretion of the manager and I'd say to avoid this stores manager, I believe her name was something like Rhetta. I'm glad to follow the rules but she in no way was friendly, it was quite the opposite actually. returning 4 cases and exchanging for a name brand can easily be done in the same transaction at customer service but instead she was like no, you'll have to check out in the grocer lanes. Literally no one around us, no one waiting at customer service behind me, she could have easily helped or at least exchanged pleasantries at a minimum. I'll choose a different Kroger here on out even if it's inconvenient for me.

This review is in regards to the pharmacy specifically at Kroger. Regardless of when a prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy, it appears to never be ready. It doesn't matter what the prescription is or from where the request has been sent or even if the prescription was sent electronically a day before, I witnessed this happening to multiple people as I'm waiting in line. Everybody was asked to come back in 20 minutes at which point their prescriptions will be ready. This simply kept occurring to person after person. This isn't the first time for the strange behavior. I've seen it happen countless times. Highly suggest using another pharmacy.

This store needs to be closed down! Their management and staff are inefficient and rude. The pharmacy manager Alice Fox failed to fill a prescription I dropped off a week before. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I was rudely told by pharmacy clerk the prescription had expired and there was nothing they could do. Apparently, I raised my voice at her and another clerk Jenny started yelling at me that it wasn't her fault and I had to stop talking to her like that immediately. The line waiting for prescriptions was backed up with 6 other people. The manager finally came over after a lengthy and nasty chastisement by Jenny. I explained to her she failed to fill my prescription that I needed for seizures from a stroke. Told me it was an OTC medication she could order and have the next day. I went the next day to pick it up. Again, a long line of people waiting for prescriptions so I walked up to the register to ask Alice Fox if she could just ring it up for me so I didn't have to wait 20 minutes again. First, she ignored me then she told me no she couldn't ring it up, I needed to wait. She then proceeded to take her time with the other customers, which was unacceptable to me. I left the line and went to speak to a store manager. I asked him to help me get the medicine so I wasn't unnecessarily delayed any further. The store manager went to the pharmacy talked to Alice Fox and told me I had to wait. I said "no thank you" and told him (Sean?) I would be filing a complaint with corporate and the pharmacy licensing board. Worse store in Franklin. Should have a "Warning Proceed With Caution" on the front door.

I was there an no one would help the elderly or help anyone check out. Three people at line 1 next to self check out doing nothing . And elderly woman tried to get help and they told her to use self check as the check out was doing a propane . She said fine waited. Then when guy came back three people standing around bagged groceries, and wouldn't help the customers on self check out and 9 lines shut down with a massive line and people begging for help. I'd rather go hungry than ever go back to this place .

We are a retired couple and have been using kroger for years. We were there on a Friday morning around 9:00 AM and there wasn't a single check out counter open other than self service .We had a shopping cart full and had to get another cart to load to in the self service to checkout. Also the employee that helped us had trouble. We were told they didn't have a cashier there, but there were employees pulling orders for pickup. What happen to the service?

Now I may look young but never have a ever been to this Kroger and been approached by the "Wine Department Manager" mid search for my wine and been asked for my ID before checkout ... not only did that happen. She was not even in the isle when I walked down. Was also surprised to hear that my license was incorrect... which was false. Felt targeted, confused and uncomfortable. Didn't catch the name on the tag but will be VERY confused the next time I go and don't see her sitting in a chair checking everyone who walks down the isle as I never have before.

Ordered groceries 5 days ago. Schedule pickup was 7pm to 8pm. Got there at 7:30. They didn't notify us by phone they were running late. They said come back between 8 and 830. Got there at 8:10. They didn't notify us AGAIN that they weren't taking any orders!! They said come tomorrow. I know they are busy with orders right now but 2 simple phone calls that they didn't bother making lost my business forever at this Kroger!!!!!!!

Understand these are tough times but for Kroger employees to act like they are the almighty is never acceptable. Two of us out shopping for two households and told that since we walked in together we as 2 people are limited to 1 paper towel and 1 bathroom tissue is outrageous. That is why we had two out doing the shopping so the the high risk could stay safe! We said we would be checking out separately but that did not matter, we walked in together so considered 1. Then when I said our daughter, with her infant, would have to come out simply to stand in line, what was their response.... “good”. So Kroger is ok with putting people at risk. Well, not sure about everyone else but I am not going to support a company who supports putting people at risk.

Unfortunately, I keep going back to this Kroger because it's a mile away from my home but almost every time I go I'm amazed at the poor service from the employees. From meats and seafood to the customer severe counter. I find rude, incompetent people!! Tonight put an end to my shopping there. It's Christmas Eve and the store was closing in 5 mins. I was met by 3 employees guarding the entrance telling us shoppers that we had 5 mins. Then as soon as I entered the store, I was told by at least 5 other employees that they were closing in 5 mins not to mention the over the head speaker telling us the same thing. I even had an employee ushering me down the isle with hand gestures telling me that the employees wanted to get out of there even though it wasn't 6 pm yet. No one said merry Christmas until I was leaving the store but by then I was so angry I had no words!! I'm continually amazed at this island of misfit workers at this Kroger. It is consistently ridiculous! I wished I would have driven the extra few miles and gone to Publix. The workers at Publix are always pleasant, helpful and actually have a CLUE!!! I have talked to the manager at this Kroger but obviously to no avail. I understand that's it's Christmas Eve but if you are open until 6 then you are OPEN until 6 ( and probably a few mins beyond).

Here's my deal with Kroger. They've gotten so greedy that even though they are a little closer than Aldi, I'll go to Aldi from now on. They are almost always out of produce and items that I buy regularly. They have added all these self check out lanes, which means they aren't hiring real people anymore. If I have to scan and bag my own groceries, shouldn't I see a cost savings? They are saving money by not hiring people or paying for their healthcare, why do I not get that savings also? Additionally, I went to get cash back (after scanning and bagging my own groceries) and now they want to charge a fee for me to get cash back? Corporate Greed. I can get almost everything I need at Aldi and what I can't get there, I'll get from Publix or Whole Foods. If Kroger isn't willing to pass some of their cost savings (we bring our own bags, scan our groceries and bag them) on to customers the way stores like Aldi have, I'll switch. Charging for cash back in a self check out lane...y'all have really lost sight of the importance of happy customers.
