The staff is courtesy and kind. Dr Kathy is one of the most passionate, hard working, and caring vets we have ever had.

They have become our "go to" for pet care.We have confidence in the vets and staff. Good communication and empathy. We live in Franklin and the office is still convenient. It's also a benefit that the rates for services are competitive and sometimes more economical compared to other providers.

After searching for a new vet, we were so blessed to end up with Dr. Kunkel at Little House. She and the entire team of docs and techs treated my 20 year old cat (and us!) with the most compassion I have ever experienced. She routinely got down on the floor with my cat, kissed his head, and told him she loved him. You can tell she truly loves and respects animals. I appreciate that the doctors can be reached after hours in the event of an urgent question or emergency. They also do house calls, which we utilized once for our senior cat. Eventually, she helped us make the decision to end our cat's suffering, and as difficult as that was, I can honestly say that the process was peaceful for my baby and Dr. Kunkel added so many compassionate touches, like placing a small boutonniere of flowers on my kitty's chest and saying some very sweet and comforting words as he went over the rainbow bridge. Dr. Kunkel handles all the details to make that hard process more bearable. It helped me to have closure and a good goodbye to my sweet cat. I have 4 pets and live 30 minutes from Little House, but I will not hesitate to make the drive for top-notch and I believe, unmatched, care for my furbabies.

My dog had been sick for going on 4 days. They took me in as a new patient with no hesitation and quickly. They took very good care of my girl, explained everything in detail. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly and courteous. Will not hesitate to return.

A Disappointing Experience: Rushed Diagnosis and Poor Bedside Manner at little house animal hospital. My recent visit to this Vet Clinic left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. From the rushed diagnosis to the unpleasant bedside manner, it was an experience that fell far short of my expectations. When their staff was getting intake information as we were waiting on the vet, at both appointments with Dr.Kunkel she literally told me that's your appointment time you took too much time it's been 30 minutes. I have never in my life been treated like that from a vet. My significant other didn't even want to come in the second visit because of his thoughts he would've shared with her. It sounds like they need to handle A LOT THERE.Along that note of the other follow up, she told me that's OK you can find another vet if you need to and that's just how it is If you get one thing from one vet and one thing from another "that's life" she said. She also stated my dog does better without me when she took him from me. That's where I should have stopped this appointment. We also had x-rays taken of him to follow up on the lungs and she never even went over them. She basically told me you're not a vet you don't know how to read them. I have never had a vet not go over x-rays with me in front of me.Upon arriving at the clinic to see Dr.Kunkel, I was hoping for a compassionate and knowledgeable veterinarian who would provide the best care for my beloved pet. Unfortunately, my hopes were quickly dashed. Tons of money spent on only a couple visits. The whole experience felt super unprofessional and rushed, leaving me with the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously. We waited for the owner of the clinic which is her and had to see another doctor a few weeks before hand just to get familiar with the place. A few weeks later, our Chihuahua aspirated and had to be treated by blue pearl so we followed up with them. We travel out of state and we have a couple primary care offices and emergency vets we use that's why we were looking for our animals locally for when it's not an emergency and for quality of life for our almost 18-year-old Chihuahua. We weren't super impressed the first time and waited on the vet that was recommended. (The owner Dr. Kunkel)It was disheartening to realize that the vet caused unnecessary worry and stress. I was left wondering if a more thorough examination and better attention to detail could have prevented this. We were also given prescription dog food for an adult size dog and she said that's OK he can handle it mind you he is a 17-year-old Chihuahua with teeth that have been taken taken out.In addition to the rushed and bad bedside manner of the veterinarian this was less than satisfactory. I expected a friendly and empathetic approach, but instead, I encountered a lack of patience and understanding. The vet seemed disinterested in addressing my questions and concerns which I was trying to explain with my 17-year-old dogs history, which only added to the frustration and anxiety I was already feeling. When seeking veterinary care, it is crucial to find professionals who not only possess the necessary expertise but also demonstrate compassion and respect for their patients and their owners. Unfortunately, my experience at little house animal hospital fell short on both accounts.I sincerely hope that the clinic takes these concerns seriously and implements improvements to ensure that future patients are provided with the care and compassion they deserve. Veterinary medicine plays a vital role in our pets' lives, and it is essential to find practitioners who prioritize that.In conclusion, I cannot recommend this Clinic when there are many good vets out there based on my personal experience. We found a few good ones since this visit. I would advise pet owners to explore other options and seek out a clinic that prioritizes the well-being of both the animals and their owners.

I can’t say enough good things about the vets and staff at Little House. So few people treat rabbits, so it’s amazing that we have not only found vets, but we have found incredible vets. I have a very happy little lop ear bouncing around my house due to the care they gave at a very difficult point.

After countless calls to other vets that couldn’t help me, and getting laughed at and hung up on, I started to get discouraged that no vet in middle tennessee would be able to look at my hamsters ear infection. That was until I called little house animal hospital. Not only were they able to get my sweet hamster, snookums, in within a day of calling, but the service and care I received from the minute I spoke with the front desk staff to the moment I left their clinic was nothing short of amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. You can tell they really care about their clients and not just trying to get you in and out for money. They are affordable and provide genuine care and comfort throughout the whole process. Thank you so much Dr. Frevert and staff, we appreciate your grace and incredible delivery of care!

I absolutely love this place. The first time I came here was during a time I needed to say goodbye to my bunny— it was an emergency visit and they were the only place that would help after I called countless vets. It was a really hard time for me, and they were so caring and sensitive about the ordeal. Since then, I’ve taken my cat here for all of her checkups. It’s about an hour drive from where I live, but it’s absolutely worth it. Every time I’ve been here I’ve felt so comfortable and reassured that my wee babies are getting the upmost care and respect. I couldn’t recommend this place more ❤️

I absolutely love this vet. I drive 30 minutes to go here and it is so worth it! All of the staff is extremely friendly and caring from the front desk staff, vet assistants and doctors I adore them all! I bring both of my bunnies here and I trust this vet office to take care of anything that might come up.Recently one of my bunnies has been having health issues that haven’t been easy to figure out. Dr. Frevert has been so patient with me and all of my questions and has been doing anything it takes to help get him better. They are so good about getting him into the office as soon as possible when he needs to be seen. Dr Frevert has even been kind enough to call me back after hours to answer any questions or concerns that I have had come up at times. If you’re looking for a vet you can trust to take amazing care of your animals I would highly recommend this office especially for bunny parents! Thank you little house animal hospital for being the best!
