This is a national museum to visit about the historical events that were actual events in the 1800s. Our Juneteenth celebration was absolutely joyful with ththe bittersweet truths of living colored soldier troops who live to tell the stories of our ancestors. Fun is involved with games and door prizes, good food, celebration with cultures from different paths or the same paths in life. Our African American Heritage Society President, Ms. Alma McLemore has the most beautiful heart in caring for the entire community in Williamson, County, Tennessee. I enjoy attending each year just to see my kindred, and friends. Just to meet new people is amazing!!! ????❤️❤️❤️❤️

The McLemore house is a true gem in the city of Franklin. We often hear of slavery but the narrative of how formerly enslaved people created homes and lives after enslavement are rarely discussed. This tour will give you a new perspective on history you may not be aware of. This house was home to four generations until it became an historic sight. Include this historic home on your next visit to Franklin. You will be glad you did.
