Opex is a fantastic gym! If you want workout plans designed with your body in mind, this is the place. The workout app makes it super easy to stay on track and every time you’re in the gym there’s a coach on the floor. This coach will ensure that you’re doing the movement optimally and to avoid injury. The owners and coaches here are stellar. Opex was a life changer in helping me recover from a fractured shoulder and regain mobility and strength. I highly recommend Opex!

Tara is an amazing owner and trainer. An expert at what she does, and beyond great with her clients. Dennis, however, is an abusive person. He did not show this side of himself until my family had been at their gym for over a year and spent thousands of dollars there. He verbally abused my partner, who was trying to get fit and healthy and was progressing beautifully. If you are looking for a professional trainer relationship with respectful communication, stay far away from the co-owner, Dennis. However, Tara can’t be beat. :)

I’ve been a member of OpEx Franklin for about 2.5ish months or so. Prior to that, ive had some limited gym experience holistically.Y’all… this gym and community is a life changer. Like, legitimately a life changer.I work with a coach 4 days a work on a personalized workout program, nutrition advice, and overall quality of life feedback. The goal isn’t just to improve your physical health… it’s how to improve your overall health and well-being.For the training and gym itself; it’s a fairly small space. However, they have a wide variety of equipment and use the space effectively. This also gives you a more personalized experience when you work out. The trainers know you by name, they know your workout, and they know what you are struggling on.This past Friday, I had Dennis (one of the owners and a coach), specifically help me with a bending exercise I was struggling with. He heard feedback from coaches earlier in the week that I struggled on it and knew I needed support.The owners (Dennis and Tara) are absolutely fantastic as well and support various local Franklin businesses! This isn’t your run of the mill gym… this a community of trained individuals that WILL help you achieve your fitness goals.Overall… if you are looking to Actually make a change in your fitness journey… go to OpEx Franklin. It’s worth it!

I have been a member at this gym for over 5 years and the owners and other members have become like family. Dennis and Tara are extremely knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to design an individualized program to fit your personal exercise needs. They make sure the other coaches are held to the same high standards, so that everyone is getting the best programming possible for their goals. Proper form and movement is very important here. The gym space is expansive and has every piece of equipment you could need. There are clean bathrooms with showers. You will not find better coaches anywhere else!

I began participating in OPEX in January 2018 (it was called Individual Design then) because I was looking for the customized attention it had to offer. I have a designated coach who provides workouts tailored to my individual needs and goals. He meets me where I am in ability and provides reasonable expectations, accountability and non-judgmental, honest communication. The program uses research based programming and purposefully selected tools and exercises. While OPEX is an exercise program, it uses a holistic approach that doesn’t solely focus on exercising. My coach also works with me on my nutrition and other positive health habits. I have made observable progress during my time with them; both physically as well as in regular performance assessments and feedback. Also, while the program is individualized, I am still able to work out with other people when in the gym. While we aren’t doing the same programming, we are able to converse and interact. I was a bit worried about leaving the group dynamic of other class designs, but have found that I don’t miss it as I am still able to interact with others. It’s not the cheapest program, but it is the best you’ll find, and you receive your own personal training, programming and accountability without the personal trainer cost. It is worth it, and I highly recommend OPEX Franklin. I hope to see you there soon!

I’ve been using OPEX for about 6 or 7 months now. The team is top notch and very informative and professional and the facility is great. I love how they teach the “why” behind every exercise they have you do. I also like how I have the benefit of a personal trainer and can also interact with a variety of other trainers on the floor to get different critiques and input. From exercise programs to nutrition and overall life balance, OPEX has created great results for me. I highly recommend checking them out ??

Excellent personalized programming and top notch coaching. Great welcoming community. I feel stronger, healthier, and ready for life physically than I did doing group classes. Highly recommend at any level of fitness.

I have had a fantastic experience with Tara and Dennis at Opex Franklin! I love being active and trying new things and since the programming is designed personally for me it can change accordingly with each new adventure without me having to switch gyms or trainers.It’s also great because with their wide range of training knowledge and PT background the few times I’ve gotten hurt living my life they’ve been able to change my day to day training to include the PT I need or they program responsibly around my injury.The trainers are friendly, well educated and actually get you the results you’re looking for!

I have worked with OPEX Franklin remotely for over a year now. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how successful it has been! The program is set up to focus on my goals - for fitness and for day to day living. With my coach I talk about physical movement and lifestyle aspects like diet, sleep quality, stressors from work and parenting, and general energy levels. I never feel judges. Instead, I feel supported as my coach modifies the workouts to help me make progress toward my long term goals while being responsive to near term realities like injuries or a stressful work week ahead. Thanks so much to Tara, Dennis, and Lee for helping me get through a long year! I look forward to continuing the journey ?

If you are looking for a gym that wants to see you succeed whatever your goals are, this is it! Looking to lose weight, run a marathon, just play with your grandkids, or live a healthier happier life, they have you covered. It’s like no gym you’ve ever been to before, the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, you feel like family! Plus the programming is personally tailored to you and your goals, no two programs are a like and through communication with your coach it can even be fun, because they listen to you and make the program have not only what you need to reach your goals but also have some of the things you love too!! I’ve been with them from the beginning and I can’t recommend them enough!
