Have gone here for 10-ish years, maybe even 15 or so, to work on a number of vehicles and a variety of fixes & maintenance - Historically has been good & somewhere I’d recommend.
Recently, I’ve brought in an ‘02 Land Cruiser for a few reasons over the last 6 months, and things have gone downhill.
1. Suspension maintenance - Fix was fine, but I get home and the entire underside of a wheel-well is missing, and there’s just a giant piece of metal exposed, rubbing my tire as I drive. They forgot to re-cover it, so I took it back and they replaced it correctly. Ok, mistakes happen.
2. For a standard tire rotation they pretty much deep-searched through my car to find the wheel-lock key - Could have just called to ask where I keep it in the car…
Then… They lose it! Which I of course didn’t notice until I needed it, and had to go to the dealership to have them eventually order a new one, which Firestone agreed to pay for.
3. The AC went out, and they gave a high but fair quote to fix 2 parts. I pick up the car; it’s still not blowing cold air. They say there’s actually a 3rd part that needs to be fixed, but they’ll give me the part for free ($300) & throw in a free filter, but still charge $900 in labor - So now I’m about $3K into this. If I’d I’d known this would be the case ahead of time, I wouldn’t have fixed any of it, saved that money, and probably looked to sell the car since it’s starting to add up.
I get the car back, and there’s a part hanging out of the dash. I take it back, and they put it back in. I pick it up again, and the entire dash is off kilter - Glove box doesn’t close flush, ignition is torn up, and every seam is off alignment.
They basically say it’s an old car, and it won’t ever be able to be put back together how it was. I might believe them if I hadn’t had 2 other people take apart the dash in the last year, multiple times for different reasons, and put it back together perfectly.
And lastly, somehow my gearshift is so loose I can pop it off! What??
At the end of the day, this has been sloppy, shotty work that if I’m paying $3K for a fix I didn’t plan on, the least you can do is not give my car back in worse condition every time after waiting weeks.
It’s a recent thing with this location; who knows what changed - When I lived elsewhere I never had issues at a Firestone.
Trying to deal with area managers, corporate, etc. now, cause this is unacceptable. We’ll see how that goes.

Appt made the day before with a very friendly "Tony" for tire rotation, brake check-( rotors and pads replaced March 2023) & lifetime front wheel alignment for 2013 Honda Pilot. Tony jokingly made a comment to me to not mention his name if service was bad. I laughed it off. Appt was for 10 am and left car there. I was notified by Tony around 2 pm that my front rotors needed resurfacing but would be under warranty. He also said I needed a new air filter and he sent me a picture of my dirty one. I never got the picture but went ahead and said ok to change that. He also said my front struts may need to be replaced but really did not push this and I felt it was because it was already in the afternoon on a Friday and there was not enough time to complete the job, and I know that they will always try to sell you on something else. I verified that my tires would be rotated and the front wheel alignment done which he said of course. I was notified my car was ready at 5:22 and got there around 5:45. I immediately knew my tires were not rotated. I have had this happen to me before.
I asked "Dale" how they rotate the tires and he said front to back. Asked him if mine were done- he said of course. I told him, no they were not rotated as the front wheels were dirty and the back wheels were clean- did this on purpose so I would know if they were rotated. He then fumbled and went to measure the tires and said oh I guess they weren't rotated then made up a story that the guy double rotated them as he got confused when he was resurfacing the front rotors. I asked if they could rotate the tires now within a short period of time as I had a dinner reservation and he said he did not know how long it would take and wanted me to bring the car back in the next day. My husband was not to0 happy with that answer, and they were able to rotate the tires within 15 minutes. Dale started asking us personal questions about what time our reservation was and where we were going to eat which made me feel uncomfortable. They tried to charge me for the brakes, but then took it off the bill after I told Dale it was supposed to be under warranty. When I left I thought something seemed off with my driver door when I closed it - When I got home saw that it had been damaged and pushed in slightly where it was rubbing on the front tire panel. I called the Firestone in Germantown and Dale answered and let him know that I had been very patient with the situation but was not happy now with my door rubbing and not opening/closing properly. He was very rude now and said they did not work on my door. I said no someone jammed it or ran into it and the door was rubbing on the front panel. He put me on hold and then said that no one noticed anything wrong with my door and that I did something to it on the way home. I told him I was driving the whole time and did not stop for anything. He said well I've got to stand up for my guys. Your car is old and rickety. Enough said!! My husband had to get a crow bar and bend the panel back out so the door would not hit the panel. Lastly, there were several greasy handprints on my car doors and even inside the door. I do not recommend Firestone in Germantown-but if you must go there proceed with caution.

Quality of service has really gone down. Had my car all day. I wanted a tire rotation and a radiator flush. Tires never got rotated, and my gas take was lower. I get better service on Park

Great and friendly service. I just had to wait for a non-Firestone brand tire to come in.

Your front of house is fantastic. Customer service was amazing. I usually go to the location on Poplar on east side of germantown and the lady that I have delt with is very unpleasant. When I came in for a brake inspection she informed me I was not scheduled. Then I realized I called the wrong germantown location. When I arrived on Exeter I was greated as soon as I stepped in, the gentleman that helped me was professional, friendly, and just pleasant to deal with. Communication during the repair was timely and fantastic. Even when I came to get my car 2 different staff greated me and not only took great care of me but also delt with a very difficult customer who was being very unreasonable. They kept calm and friendly while trying to help her even with her being rude and demanding. I have to say blown away by the customer service. You should congratulate your staff, they absolutely earned my business moving forward. Well done
