“Always good deals for brand name products. Only issue I have with this store is that it’s so tiny. There isn’t a lot of room to even go down an isle must less turn around. They need a bigger store for sure. Every other dollar general has either gotten a facelift or a completely new store, but this one hasn’t. Friendly employees for the most part and clean.”
“Instantly fell in love with this place the moment I stepped inside. It was overwhelming how neat and tidy the store was with all their beautiful Christmas goodies on display! And the prices were amazing! Their decor was just as pretty as Kirkland or Michaels with prices that were half those stores. They are refreshingly modern as well, with several color schemes. They have party and paper goods as well’s as cleaning supplies, beauty deals and even toys and snacks! Very impressed and can’t wait to go back!”
“Ollie's really is such a bargain. We've bought so many household needs here for years because it's infinitely cheaper than Walmart and other places. Have found some furniture even. And the rugs are always a nice fair price.”
“I went up there about 8:30 tonight to pick up stuff for my neighbor that just got out of the hospital today & accidentally left my cell phone there. Not sure if another customer found it & turned it in or one of the 2 guys working there found it but bless their hearts for holding it until I could run back up there to pick it up. I was pretty frantic so it was such a blessing they had it safe & sound for me. Thanks so much to everyone involved!!”
“hardly ever anything our size. The prices are not as good a bargain as it was in the past but they have a bargain bin that is pretty neat. They start at 7.00 per item and goes down about 2x a week until it is 1.00. you do find some good deals.”
“I really enjoy going. I get the emails from them & went for something specific, underbed storage containers, which are awesome has rollers, & bi-fold lid at a very decent price, of course had to get a couple things I didn't need & have fun.”
“Good selection, great prices, clean store. The clothes sizes are mixed together, making it difficult to find your size. They do carry up to 3x sizes in cute clothes.”
“I prefer this DG over any other located on Fort Henry Drive! And there's a lot of them believe me you! The folks at this location are just great employees and great people! They're always kind and they keep shelves stocked better than almost all the others I have been in as well! Gotta give a shout out to the gang at the DG on the right just before the Hardee's going toward JC on Fort Henry. However I know all those folks have been working dang hard for just as long as I have since this Pandemic started way back when. Good job folks and thank you.”

“I had an issue with an item that I purchased recently at Ross in Kingsport TN. I was not very happy so I contacted CS regarding said issue on their website. Within 10 mins I received a call back from customer service and my issue was resolved wonderfully and in a timely manner. Thank you Ross for such great Customer service!!!”
“Nice little hidden gem for exotic discount groceries. Prices are extremely fair, staff are always pleasant and inviting and, bonus, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while you're shopping. My ONLY issue would be not having a Keto friendly coffee option since many of their products are specialty. Overall, a great place!!”
“Great place to find odd items that you don't see for sale in every store you walk into. The name is misleading, they have selections that were $25 and $30 but the majority was $5.55 and below. The staff was out on the sales floor offering assistance and helping customers which is what all of the Walmarts and Targets have lost the real meaning of customer service. This was a refreshing change from what You will get at the other retail stores.”
“The employees of this Dollar tree are hard-working men and women I think they tolerate a lot what I have seen and walking into any Dollar tree it's very uniformed in the layout of the store. I have seen the employees pick up after customers. that probably just disrespected just because it's called a Dollar tree store I'm grateful for the employees and the store . “I have been a regular customer here for 5 years now, ever since I moved into the area with my family. Not only does the store have reasonably priced items, especially for someone like me who looks for places that sell dairy free and gluten free groceries, but there has always been wonderful customer service, a clean store, and a warm friendly atmosphere when I walk in. If it wasn't for The Savvy Shopper I wouldn't be able to afford eating according to my current dietary needs. Your typical store sells these items for more than double what Julie does in her store. I know she could be pricing her groceries way higher than she does and I appreciate her keeping things actually affordable.
I have seen some reviews saying that prices at The Savvy Shopper are unreasonably high, but that's simply not been my experience. I would love to know where they're shopping though if that's actually the case.
This is one of my favorite local places to shop. It is a discount store, so there aren't consistently the same brands or items here, but that's actually one thing that's turned out to be good for me. I've gotten to try out so many things that I normally wouldn't have been able to afford trying from the regular store. I've discovered a lot of brands that I love through this.
I highly recommend The Savvy Shopper to others all the time. You should definitely pop in and give it a look.”

“I go to the Dollar General a few times a week. I don't always go to this location as there are many others in the area. However this location has become my go to. This is the newest Dollar General that I know of within the surrounding area. This is considered one of their bigger stores, as they carry more stock than others. The workers are helpful and kind 99.9% of the time. They have new deals every week that you can view online or in a few weekly sales paper issues that are free and in view when your walk in. They accept cash, credit/debit , and SNAP/EBT. The only thing I can think of that might effect people is if the right item is a good deal that week they will probably sell out. For example last week they had 2-liter Mellow Yellows for $0.85 cents a piece. I went to 4 different Dollar General stores, but all were sold out.”
“Fabulous!!! A great gentleman helped us in the bedding department and was knowledgeable and helped us immediately narrow down what was in stock. So options can be asked if availability, if needed right then.”
“I love the dollar tree. Although they are carrying nicer items then they charge you more for them. I will say that the one on West Market doesn't have a big selection like the one on North Roan Street. I recommend going to North Roan as opposed to going to the one on the West market. I went here not long ago and they refuse to help me or assist me to find anything. I simply asked for one specific product that I know they had carried at one point and both employees said they didn't know instead of showing me something similar or trying to even help me look for it they just completely ignored me. It appears to me that they just didn't want to do their job. Because of this, I will not go to this particular store I will go to the other one now.”

“There is two employees that work here that deserve a raise AND SO MUCH MORE,The beautiful blacked haired girl has always helped me when I come in with my children, she always has a smile on her face and I've never seen her be rude to a customer, and then the amazing man with long hair who has always been sweet and asked me how my day was, find items I couldn't find and he even helped me pay for me food when I was $1.00 over. I know dollar general gets a lot of hate but these two employees are amazing, I wish I knew there names but ether way keep up the good work, y'all are amazing .”
“There were a few occasions when I didn't have enough money to pay for my groceries. The woman with the stylish glasses, which change each time I see her, kindly told me not to worry and offered to cover the remaining cost.”
“I absolutely love this store. It's always clean, the shelves are well stocked and the customer service is the best thing of all. Everyone is always kind and helpful. This store in my opinion is the best of the Dollar Stores in Kingsport. I would highly suggest it to anyone.”

“Still once again best place ever. I get tested like family and they all have known me my whole life. It’s so wholesome and fun walking in. If I could give Allen 2000 stars for the job he does and work he puts in I would. He is the best employee this company could ask for he’s there from open to close most days but it always brightens my day when I get to see him! They all kept up with my pregnancy and absolutely adore my son since he’s been born. If I don’t have to shop anywhere else I won’t because the vibe and love I get from there. 10/10 recommend shopping here for whatever you need. Like I said Allen is the bestest! I love to go in just to talk sometimes. Never had a bad experience and I love all the employees.”
