“They are simply the best! I brought my 2-year-old Manx, Yena, in for her spay, and while they were in there, the vet found something no one else had caught. She'd been having bladder issues, and at first everyone thought it might be Manx syndrome. Turns out it was these little fetal membranes — things that are supposed to dissolve after birth but never did in her case — and they were pulling on her bladder and causing all her problems. They took care of it right then and there during the spay. Didn't charge me extra. Didn't make a big deal out of it. Just fixed it because that's what was best for her. That's how you know a vet actually cares about animals, not just the bill. They could have easily tacked on a separate charge for what they found, but they didn't. They just did the right thing. This is also why spays are so, so important — if I hadn't brought her in for it, we never would have found what was really wrong with her. I now drive two and a half hours each way for her vet visits, and honestly that's just fine with me. As long as she can keep going to Shallowford, I'll make the drive. You don't find vets like this every day. I can't recommend them enough. They treat your pets like their own.”

“Dr Ralston was very kind in caring for my Precious. Precious was choking and turned out she had a long blade of grass in her nostril. She is doing great now.. We had to make a return visit with our Great Dane Fancy Monday Sept 21 2026..ALL staff was so caring for Fancy. I feel she was given the best care possible. The Dr was remarkably gentle and very knowledgeable of Fancys needs.. Even towards me the staff showed care cause I was crying in fear for the worst. Ty hiway 58 for taking care of my baby. All 109 pounds of her. Lol”

“I am so thankful to have found a trusted veterinarian here in Chattanooga! I bring my dog and cats here. While they do seem a bit pricey, I know my animals are safe and well taken care of here. The staff and doctors aren’t afraid to get in there and look at every inch of your animals. I have a German shepherd, so I can always appreciate when people aren’t afraid of them! They also offer boarding here for relatively cheap, so that’s a plus. I was able to board my dog for a week while we went on vacation, and I felt good knowing I could trust them. They even called to ask about giving her some anxiety meds since she struggles with that, so that was nice too.”

“Me and my family have been looking for a good vet practice for years. We all used to go to Riverview animal hospital. But since Tai sold it, it hasn't been the same. The service I've had the past week, getting an international health certificate for my cats, has been outstanding. They are so friendly there and they clearly care about your animals. That is becoming a rarity in these strange times. I have moved out of the country, but I'm sure all my family will be going there from here on out. “This place has been an absolute blessing especially at a time when I feel so helpless and they were phenomenal in treating my cat with a very best care available! I was there last week and I'm going back today because my kitty is still hurting really bad on his broke leg. The veterinarian and vet assistant did an outstanding job and making my cat feel completely at ease and comfortable and he's not a stranger friendly cat. He was in immense pain and was purring so loud that it took several attempts for the vet to listen to his lungs and heart because his purring was so loud. They were up front about all cost and potential future costs. The beautiful ladies at the front desk even assisted me with a special they have which is a free vet visit for first time customers, and a CareCredit which covers $500 in medical costs for my pet. If you want the best care for your animal look no further than animal Clinic east! These women really do care and want the best for your pet and your family!”

“This is honestly the only emergency vet i will visit. They are incredibly kind, FAST, and genuinely care about you and your pet. I have been here many times for different reasons and never waited more than an hour to be seen. The time I waited an hour, the entire lobby was full. At any other ER vet, I would wait upwards of 4 hours. If I could come here for all of my pet’s vet visits I would.”

“Since Wally's closed in Redbank, I have taken my fur babies here to get snipped and sewed. We have never had any issues afterwards with incisions etc. The staff are completely amazing. During the whole process, they are caring and empathetic. They provide a whole menu of additional services you can get with your spay/neuter, from microchip to dewormer and regular maintenance things like trimming nails. Our cat Olive was recently spayed at Chattaneuter. We initially used the Cone of Shame that we purchased from there when her brother was neutered but she wasn't having it. I made Olive a surgery suit out of a Walmart terrycloth hand towel on the cheap. See pics for reference. Chattaneuter pretty much has everything you could need for after surgery for your fur baby. You can add pain meds from the ala carte when you fill out the form for services to make sure your cat or dog is in the best position for comfortable recuperation. I really appreciate what they do. My only complaint which really isn't because it's understandable in a city our size, is that it can take a month or 2 for your appointment because the list is long to get in.”

“I can't believe I didn't know about this fantastic vet clinic until recently. My former pets always went to the (more corporate owned) big groups in town, and I always felt rushed and like my pets were not important to them. That is not true for this small, family-owned clinic. They practice western and integrated medicine, so if you prefer a more holistic approach, they've got your back! If you prefer traditional medicine, they do that as well! Plus, they are so much more affordable than what I was paying before. Not to mention, they are a fear-free certified practice.”

From the receptionists to the vet tech to the doctor everyone was so nice and helpful and they were able to help my sweet girl relatively quickly. To whoever drew the “boop” picture on the whiteboard in exam room 5, please know that helped me feel better when I was so worried.”
