“One would not normally think of writing a review for the USPS, but I figured I would.

Let's start off by saying the gentleman that delivers our mail on Walton Ferry is great, he even recognizes my barking rottweiler.

The reason I actually decided to do a review was because today I came in to get a ticket as a walk in for my passport photo and application.

The lady that greeted me stated they don't start handing out the tickets until 12PM and I stated that would be ok (It was about 11AM) and the nice ady stated that since they were not busy she would take my photo and get the process started as the lady that normally does the passports was on her way back.

There was a gentleman that stated that he would just quickly knock out the paperwork and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

THAT IS GREAT SERVICE!!!”

“I love my neighborhood post office! Whenever I go in and Killian is working she is so friendly. I just walked out today feeling so happy after my short conversation with her so I felt compelled to sit in my car and write a review quickly!

Unfortunately I feel like the standard USPS experience not enjoyable for most people. But I truly enjoy interacting with the staff at this location. Killian is especially very friendly, upbeat, helpful, seems to enjoy her job and is also very knowledgeable.

I also really love that if there is ever a line, I can use the self service machine in the lobby.

All around I really enjoy our little East Nasty Post Office!

Update: Gregory helped me today and was so friendly, helpful and kind!”

“I love coming here for all my postal needs even if it is an option that is nearer to where I live.
The staff are really patient and accommodating! Miss Mary and everyone! I failed to remember all names but they are great humans.
The line is never long. They have a system which makes waiting minimal.
The building is clean and well-kept.”

“The staff at this location are friendly and polite. Trish and Ben are especially helpful and great to work with on a daily basis dropping package off. USPS itself isn't perfect, but its exceedingly rare for there to be an issue at this location that is actually their fault, and on that rare occasion, they do everything in their power to get the issue fixed. A few months ago, a package being returned to me was miss-sorted and delivered to the Postal Annex in Mount Juliet rather than the UPS Store. Ben was able to reach out to the carrier, confirm the packages location and the carrier was able to retrieve it and re-deliver.

Most of the complaints listed on Google and other review sites are complaints folks have with service and issues that are outside the control of this immediate location. Issues with delivery outside the Mount Juliet area, trouble with the 1-800 number, etc. Take all those false reviews with a huge grain of salt. The folks at this location are outstanding, even when faced with the toughest of customers, and I've witnessed more than a few folks being irrational and overly difficult over the simplest of issues. Kudos to the employees at this location for doing a great job in a difficult environment, and doing it with a smile!”

“A beautiful piece of Old Hickory Village history that still exists and is running. Walking inside is like entering a time machine. The wood and brass—it’s lovely. Yes, on some days it would be nice to have more than one window open, but I’ve been going there for twenty years and the most time I’ve ever had to wait is ten minutes. I remembering Nashville waiting up to 45-60 minutes—especially before Amazon, UPS and Fedx existed. We were all at the mercy of postal workers working at the counters, some of whom—well, that was a different time. This post office feels stress—free and pleasant. Staff is very attentive. No egos behind the counter. Friendly to everyone who comes in. That’s been my experience. Anyone coming into the village for the first time should definitely make a short visit inside.”
