Great visit. No pokemon cards if that's what you're looking for.

Stay away from. Can’t keep employees or doors open. Girl at register refused to honor pre orders and sold product. Place is an absolute disaster

Store was closed during business hours. It must be hard to find good help...called both Jackson tn stores several times, no answer. Guess another retailer will get my $$.

Decent place, sometimes the people who work there are obnoxious and won't leave you alone.

Changed hours with an unclear, handwritten sign on the door. Please be aware, they don’t open till noon. Even when there is a line of 10 people at 11:00am.

We live about an hour north of Jackson, but whenever we're in town shopping, we usually stop by this Gamestop location to browse their inventory and, occasionally, pick something up.
Over the years that we've been going here, we've never encountered any issues with anything we've purchased at this location and, overall, have had a good experience shopping there.
Sadly, we did run into an issue during our last visit. We found that this location of Gamestop had a Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver. It was also a replica of David Tennant's incarnation of the 10th Doctor, which he used during his time on the show.
Since officially licensed BBC Doctor Who merchandise is difficult to find, we opted to buy the $40 Sonic Screwdriver.
Unfortunately, when we got home to try it out, the screwdriver, which boasts lights and sounds taken straight from the series, failed to work.
The device requires 3 LR44 batteries, but they are included with the purchase. So, either we needed to change the batteries, or the item didn't work.
Before we did anything, we took the item to our local Gamestop location. They suggested buying new batteries to see if that solved the problem. If that didn't work, they would refund the purchase price.
We ended up buying three brand-new LR44 batteries. We switched out the included batteries with the three fresh ones, which worked.
I appreciate our local store offering a refund if their solution didn't work. However, the three brand-new LR44 batteries we purchased cost an additional $10. So, instead of paying $40, we were out an additional cost on something that was supposed to be included in the purchase price.
Again, we usually have good experiences here. Still, if we didn't have a local Gamestop, we would have had to drive an hour back to Jackson to resolve the issue, which, in addition to buying a new set of batteries, would have used up a tank of gas in the process.
Overall, it's a good store, but you should double-check that your item is in good working order before buying anything.

What is going on I've been wanting to come here but every time it's been closed. Are they closed permanently or what? Cause google maps are saying they are open.

Id give zero stars if I could. Why have store hours posted if you're not going to open at that time. I just stood outside for 30 minutes and they still haven't opened. Me and 3 others were waiting for 11 am and nope. They should have a sign up saying sorry for the inconvenience but we aren't opening until 12

Pretty sure this place is shutting down. They've had their gate down and a sign up for a couple of days that they were closed due to unforseen circumstances.

The new group of employees are a complete and utter joke. Not to mention they've withheld 2 of my preorder bonuses in the last year, even though I was one of the first to preorder and one of the first in line. Very childish. Tonight I was told that the doors would be open at 10PM for the MW3 launch and it was complete nonsense. This location is an embarrassment to the GameStop name and even though I'll still be renewing my Pro Membership after 7 years of being a loyal patron, I'll never step foot in this particular store again. These people should hang their head in shame. Pure ridiculousness.
