I’ve been with this company for years and the distaste this place leaves is incredible. Absolutely getting overcharged and after I pay the bill they will still send me delinquency letters and emails with the TOTAL LITERALLY BEING 0 DOLLARS. Their internet people came to my house three days in a row after the first day I said I’d get back to them. The way it jumps up 200 in a MONTH when I haven’t done anything different is a joke.

Brightridge called me and made things right.
Awesome that they would even think to reach out. Takes the customer service from a 1 to a 5.
Original Post.
There was a switch on the Brightridge SmartHub App that made it appear as though we disconnected our Internet service. We still get two more Internet Bills so I call them and explain that I thought you could disconnect via the app.
The woman over the phone just rudely says, “You can’t do that.” No “sorry for the confusion,” No ”Let me make it right.”
The whole conversation, she was short with me and not sympathetic. No attempt to credit me back the $120 they billed me for services that weren’t in use. It was essentially “you can’t do that” “I don’t know what you’re looking at, but the only thing you can do on there is…”
The $120 hurts me a lot more than Brightridge especially when I didn’t consume any bandwidth.
All in all don’t expect nice customer service or your money back. If they make it right I will edit this post. I don’t want retribution for the lady who was rude but someone in CS should be nicer.

After calling for 7 hrs and over paying my bill just in case. This company finally agreed to come out the home to declare it was the landlords problem turned and left after begrudgingly checking the front. Why bother posing fgvc minutes heat. BrightRidge Utility Company’s services are deplorable. “Ineptitude and Incompetence” should be this company’s mission statement. BRUC threatened installing a limiter onto the power meter of a homeowner diagnosed with a terminal illness who requires portable medical oxygen for daily use. How demented or stupid can you be? The only reason they get one star is they listed the address correctly.

I have always paid my electric bill after hours because I work nights but last night went to pay bill could not drop off payment because our power company has raised our rates so much that they have took the simple slot out of wall and installed a electronic piece of junk
no slot for bill I had to go back when they were open could not understand what the guy was saying at drive-thru speaker not working so went inside 3rd time there to complain about machine I finally was told to make a payment I had to enter account number and check number amount basically do it myself in the cold and dark after run around finally was told it would give me instant credit if I was delinquent so if you pay on time or early it's a big inconvenience for us
again what was wrong with a simple slot for payment to easy some overpaid executive had a brainstorm this is not technology this is a waste of honest consumer time and money I was offered to have it automatically taken out so I guess that's some more control that corporate America gains what a joke

Internet is already very weak so not worth what we are paying. I paid for the internet and the electric bill at the same time. Then got an email saying that I paid for both. Turns out my internet went out today and I check their website and it’s saying I only paid for the electric bill. When I checked my account just to be sure it wasn’t an error on my part nope both payments came out thank you brightridge

They just took down a pole with a light that was just replaced not even a month ago. Now my neighborhood is so dark, I'm worried about the weirdos & homesless that constantly walk by. I know it's not the workers fault but what was the point in this? It was ljust replaced, just to be taken down. I think Bright Ridge needs some DOGE since they obviously have no problem with wasteful spending. We're all paying high energy costs for this crap

They have become the worst company in the last 2 years. Their payment system is a screw-up, and they will block you from posting online payments for no reason or for the wrong reason, which makes you waste time paying with checks. Their payment policies make zero sense.

Horrible customer service in the Broadband internet department when called to inquire about internet service options. The man on the phone was condescending, rude, and not helpful at all. Prior to calling I noticed the one star reviews and can concur that I received the same piss poor service from this utility company. Maybe management should add some sort of mandatory training for providing superior customer service for customers. Absolutely unacceptable 😖

They are ok but they don't give discounts to elderly people that are disabled and can't do that for themselves and that is ashame as American people are getting weaker every day and making America The weakest Nation in the world

Our power went out on Friday at 3:15 pm and it is now Sunday at 8:20 am and we still have no power. They were working on the next street over on Friday night and yesterday afternoon and they restored power to part of our neighborhood. But our street still has no power. And they not once have attempted to restore it. We can see the damage to the line at the top of our street and they have made absolutely no attempt to fix it. The food in out refrigerator is going to go bad, we haven't been able to cook, shower, or do laundry, I have a sick 14 yr old in the house and this is a nightmare. I know a lot of people in the area have it worse than we do but this is just absolutely unacceptable. They should have been working around the clock to fix all this stuff and they are only working 8-5 to bring everyone's power back. It is absurd that we pay over $300 a month for electricity and they show absolutely no urgency to restore our power. This is the worst service I have seen in the 14.5 yrs I've lived in Tennessee. When their office opens tomorrow I will be calling and giving them business.
