Now I know why this play is called wow, because after dealing with customer service all I can say is WOW!, this is the worst internet provider I have ever experienced. Our internet has been on and off for the past 2 days since we’ve been using it. Called customer service and absolutely no help. The lady spoke broken English and was very difficult to understand as well as very rude. She told us to do multiple useless things over the course of 30 minutes which did absolutely nothing for us. We then asked her to transfer us to the manager which took over 45 minutes and turned out to be another clueless guy who also spoke broken English and was no help. For anyone considering this service, LOOK AT REVIEWS of the place before considering. There’s a reason it has so many negative ratings. Do NOT get this provider, don’t walk, RUN! Will be switching providers since internet does not work still and they could care less about helping you. After doing some research, If you guys have access to KUB in Knox, get that. It’s cheaper and customer service is actually good.

They charged me for two service calls for their own modem failure and line problem. They had to replace it and a line replacement at the pole. They would not remove the 130.00 from my bill. Also, they did not give me the 160.00 promo as promised for switching from my old carrier. Stay away from this bunch.... They will screw you at every turn. One more thing. I was paying for 500 mbps. The fastest speed i ever acquired was 98 mbps. I have since changed carriers.

Yesterday was our first day with wow. We did the self setup option. They came out early in the morning and left the new equipment at our door.We hooked it up, followed the instructions.... nothing.Called customer service twice with both agents, saying they couldn't help because everything the tried didn't work, and they'd have to send a tech out.... tomorrow (today now)We tried getting our old internet service provider to work and hooked their equipment back up - also doesn't work since wow has been out here.The agents had no idea why and said the fastest they could get someone is tomorrow morning around 8am.It's now getting into the afternoon time and no wow internet tech has been by.I've now missed a night of work (I work from home) and lost over $200 to that. Can't get my old ISP to work. Can't get an eta on when the tech will be here from customer service. Who knows if I'll miss another night of work due to this.Customer service didn't really care about the gravity of the situation. This is exactly why we left our service still on with our old provider.This is wild to treat new customers like this ?

If I could rate with zero stars I would. Customer service is awful because I can't understand hardly anything they say and won't let you do anything without knowing exactly how much you paid last and the date or using a passcode. I was trying to get it shut off and the person kept trying to sell me a cheaper service. I was on the phone for almost an hour.

Wow is awful. Over 24 hours of outage in Knoxville and not one person will tell you what's going on. 2 days without wifi. Who knows maybe they can make it 3!!! Lovely to be paying for wifi and not being able to work from home in order to pay the wifi!?

Wow is a joke of a company. The service is down more than it’s up. I would rate them zero if I could. I don’t understand why a competitor is not available in our area. But if there was another option, it would take every household. I don’t see how Wow stays in business!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Avoid this company at all cost. SERIOUSLY pay more for internet to avoid hidden fees, not being able to understand anyone on the phone, and them completely ripping you off. This company is absolutely pathetic and terrible, and dealing with them is a complete nightmare from hell.

They keep raising the price, with no warning or reason why, for a service that doesn't seem to work. Will definitely be changing providers in the very near future.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I'm unable to comment on the actual service because I can't get anyone to activate it despite speaking to a half dozen people at their call center who may or may not answer after leaving you on hold but before transferring me to someone else. This place is a hot dumpster fire.

I used them when I lived in Knoxville. The internet was okay. The customer service, however, was and is terrible. I reached out to them before I moved to cancel my service. They asked me my new address, which I gave them, and they told me that they would send a mailer with which I could send back the equipment. It has been a month and a half and no such mailer has arrived. I have reached out at least five times now requesting a mailer because I have kept getting letters from WOW in the mail. Empty promises, time and again. Recently, I got a bill for north of $600.00 for failure to return the equipment. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. The only reason I still have this equipment is because I have relied on WOW's assertions, evidently to my detriment. I suppose I will just have to ship it back to them at my own expense; a rightful punishment for taking them at their word.Looking at other reviews now, I see that several others share my misery. It is unsurprising that under every negative review is the same automatically-generated response.To all readers who are considering WOW for their internet service, I counsel against using them. Find your internet service elsewhere: you are likely to get better-quality internet, and you will not have to deal with their awful customer service. Learn from my mistake.

I was scheduled to have service installed on Friday June 16th and the appointment was cancelled without warning or explanation. I found out only because I waited all day for internet that didn’t come. After calling to get it sorted out and having someone come install my internet, they dropped off a self install kit but never activated the internet at my house, I just have useless equipment and they said I now have to wait 3 days for someone to come fix it. I have had wow in the past and they were terrible then as well, seems to be even worse 2 years later. Trust me I wouldn’t use these clowns unless I had to.

Down more often than working. WOW it's so bad should be the name. Customer service just asks have you tried turning it off and on? Yes? Well try it again? Have you considered just having reliable service and not patronising your customers some of which run our businesses online and use Telehealth docor appointments??? If not fixed soon, we will be switchimg service since others are the same price now. What are paying for???

I was a long customer of WOW. Canceled my service and received a bill that was after the service was canceled. Was told it would be corrected and that I had no balance. I then received another bill. Called again and spoke with someone who again said to disregard the bill that it must have been sent out before their system update. Today I received a collection notice. Called customer service and was told I did have a balance. Asked to speak with a manager and was denied. I see where they keep saying they are sorry and to call customer service on Google reviews. Don't waste your time. No one will help you. Run far away from this company. Wish I could get the call recordings from customer service.
