“Plenty of friendly and knowledgeable people are available to help. I was greeted and assisted immediately, which never happens in big box stores. A friend recommended that I purchase my leaf blower here, and I had no idea this type of item was sold here. I will definitely return for other purchases like this. I was able to try on the backpack leaf blower, they ensured it worked before I left, and went through how to use it several times. We also discussed maintenance and made sure I had the correct fuel. The gentleman who assisted me went a step further by offering a 10-day full refund guarantee and even helped me load it into my car. The employees there seemed happy, laughing and joking with each other.”

“These guys are officially my go to lawn mower repair shop. Have a Toro Zero Turn where the deck belt kept coming off (out of warranty). Called these guys and they said they were 3-4 weeks out with repairs. Made sense being in the middle of mowing season. I took it in and it was repaired the same day. I was shocked. My go to place for all things lawn care.”
“Short verse, I shopped at an Ace Hardware in Pennsylvania for 30+ years and was always satisfied with the outstanding service. This new store in Arlington is no different. Employees are always willing to help and are very friendly.
Long verse, To those other comments regarding poor service, I would suggest it is related to new(inexperienced) employees or maybe the posters are just Karen's.
Does Ace always have the best prices? No, but neither does Home Depot or Lowes. Like grocery, furniture, household stores and even Car dealers, you just have to shop around. Buyer beware you get what you pay for. Ace ALWAYS has quality products.

“Couldn't find 2x4x8's anywhere - I needed 80 to build my fence. Home Depot and Lowe's didn't have them in stock and had no idea when they were getting them in. I called Jimmy Whittington's and they had plenty! Their staff were friendly, efficient, and were great to work with! I will go to Whittington's from now on for all of my lumber! Thanks!”
“We had a great experience with Brian who I believe is a garden center manager at Lowe's, and Mario who works there as well. They were both so helpful and accommodating when my husband and I were looking to buy a bird bath for our patio. “Pretty good quality and quantity of plants and accessories. Only issue is that the checkout lines are so slow. Sometimes it's because of staffing. Sometimes because since a lot of items have to be looked up it takes longer. When buying stones or other items with a sticker I take a picture of the label on the shelf. Maybe Lowe's can think outside the box and have a camera that can quickly identify those items. I do see people leave a lot because they don't want to wait.”

“Shopping Sunday late afternoon, first time in Store. Found Nate to be a great help walking me to both items I needed. Then getting help from another employee on a question he was not sure of in the paint department.
Check out was by self checkout...a little crowded but employee greeted all.”

“Harbor Freight, all the cheap tool you could want and need without wondering down aisles of lumber and pipe fittings. It still surprises me that the variety of tools and equipment for reasonable prices. Folks there are always pushing for the club membership for extra days on sales and smaller discounts on some tools. I joined the club and intend to get the most out of that 29 dollar cost. So far, I got couple bucks off measuring tape and early sales price on a Portland pole saw.”
