Totally undervalued my car. They offered $5000. I ended up selling it for $8500. Don't bother going unless you need quick cash and don't mind losing a couple of thousand.

My husband had a 4:30 appointment today, and they strung him along for an hour, continually telling him it should just be another 15-20 minutes. When he told the guy at the desk he was leaving, the guy was super unhelpful and unapologetic and just offered to make him another appointment. LOL. No thanks. Terrible customer service. You’re better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Just wanted to walk through and see if the cars online were what they had in person . As I entered I was greeted with good energy but politely declined any assistance and asked if it was ok to do a quick walk through.

We had a great experience when we bought our car. We ordered car, set up a test drive of the car and purchased car with no problems. Everything went extremely smooth. Very satisfied.

I had the most amazing experience at CarMax on Germantown Road. My sales representative was Tawanna Harvey she was sweet and made sure everything went smoothly. I definitely recommend go to see her and let her get you in the car of your choice.

We purchased a BMW 330I in August to surprise our soon to be 16 year old daughter. We drove from Little Rock to Memphis to pick it up. On the drive back home, an error message came on stating brake fluid needed to be changed and this service was due back in July. This should have been caught during your 125 point inspection. I immediately tried to call the store but did not have any luck reaching them. I ended up taking the car to the shop in Little Rock and had this service completed for $250. I reached out to the main number and was then connected to the store where I was told to send in my receipt and they would reimburse me. Whew! Thankful for that! I have already received my check from them and so I’m happy about that. My next issue was that the tires on this car are Pirelli run flat and we noticed a pretty large hole in one of the tires I reached out again and have ongoing emails for OVER 2 weeks now trying to get this covered. I only reached out for the tire because it clearly states in the warranty that for 90 days or 4000 miles that the systems covered are: Frame & Body, Transmission & Drive Shaft, Differential, Cooling, Electrical, Fuel, Steering, Suspension, Restraint, Brake and Exhaust Systems, Gauges, HVAC, TIRES, Wheels. Again, I reached out about this tire over 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for someone to get with me. I have had to reply to the email chain multiple times asking for an update and for an executive resolutions contact or something to get an answer or some assistance. I will also tell you that I ended up having to replace all 4 tires!!! Discount Tire informed me that they were way too low in tread to be driving on for much longer. This too should have been caught by in your 125 point inspection. Today is our daughters 16th birthday and we gave here the car today. She was super excited about it and now we know WE made it safe for her to drive by replacing all 4 tires. Sadly, we are still waiting to hear back from anyone from CarMax. I am happy to share email communication, photos and receipts with you if I need to. I will say the overall buying process was pretty easy and I was happy to receive the paperwork in a timely manner to get the car registered. That has been the only thing that has gone well.

My new vehicle was sent to the Germantown location. I received a phone call the day I was to see and test drive the car. The compressor on the air conditioning on the vehicle needed to be replaced. I did not see the car I had found on the CarMax website. I did not test drive it. CarMax gave me a loaner car to use until my chosen car was repaired. In order to get a loaner car I needed to buy the car sight unseen. I picked up the vehicle and after driving it for a few days I did not want to keep it. The motor was very loud and the repair job on the front and back was unacceptable. The front and back bumpers were not even and the front bumpers shook when pressed upon. I found car in another state close by from CarMax I test drove it and bought it. The way my purchase was handled on the first vehicle was very disappointing and confusing. I could never speak to person I wanted. They wouldn’t call back after assuring that they would. I was not allowed to return the first car to a different location due to the fact I had the vehicle over seven days even though I hadn’t driven it for that many days. Two representatives saved my opinion of CarMax ; Tedarious Wilson and Cornelius Smith. My second and final vehicle purchase went without a problem . The paperwork was completed by Mr Smith before I came to the dealership. Mr Wilson walked me though the final paperwork smoothly. I love my car I now own and thank these two men before mentioned. I included the picture of my new vehicle.

My experience was completely stress free and hassle free. Much better than my experience with Carvana!! CarMax got my paperwork for the tags within 10 days!! It’s been a year and I’m still waiting for Carvana to get my tags!!! I ordered the truck I wanted they shipped it super quick and had everything ready when I got to the store. Now that’s how to buy a car online!!! Definitely will do business with them again

Unfortunately, my rating is low. My test drive appointment time was 4:00 pm; however, I waited 10 minutes shy of an hour for my 4:00 pm appointment. I spoke with management; however, only excuses where offered. My time is valuable an appointment time should be just that; if it’s an approximate time it should be advised in advance and posted on the website.Thankfully, I was pleased with the car and I made the purchase. Next time I will definitely visit another Carmax location one that understands and practices customer service excellence.

Most definitely the worse place to buy a car. I bought my car in January and ac has been giving me a issue sense. Tried contacting these guys numerous of times , can't never get any one on the phone, always talking to a record line. It's been months I've email and etc no one has contacted me about the situation. So yesterday I finally get on the phone with somebody for ac repairs at a local shop , how about they sent me emails and tx msg as if everything was in process. I get off work go to the shop they referred me to and to find out carmax hasn't even contacted them about my car or appointment. I waste of time all together I wouldn't buy another damn car from carmax .

Regarding CarMax extended warranty... Maxcare... Allow me to fill you in about CarMax, CarMax Corporate and Maxcare extended warranty. I purchased a 2013 Volkswagen EOS hardtop convertible. Somewhere between 30 & 60 days give or take, my "service now" light came on. Took it CarMax to find out why... I later received a call from carmax, They said it needed to go to the Dealership for service because they couldn't repair the problem. Volkswagen had the car over a month before I got it back. Because it was less then 90 days they took care it but I still had to cover the $50 plus. Thanks CarMax and Max care (LESS THEN 90 DAYS) Another month or so "service now" comes back on. CarMax service writer says needs oil change, not even driven I don't think 3000 miles, did it anyway. Service light kept coming on. EVERYTIME the service writer cleared the code and sent me on my way. A week later the engine light came on and started flashing took it back this time turbo motor, the ignition button and other things NEEDED replaced. Thanks MAXCARE & CarMax for the fess I encountered AGAIN as well as the car rental. They had it over another month AGAIN. After getting it returned problems with windows, oh and did i mentioned the first time was a safety issue as well. Anyway this time... I may have had the car a year, year 1/2 this is my first real summer being able to drive with the top down Convertible service light comes on. I call VW & service dept tells me "oh it's normal after the winter for a gear inside( which is plastic) to break, but it's going to cost me $100 for VW to contact MAXCARE and start a clam, outta my pocket. Service light comes on while it's there, another diagnostic fee. While they're doing this for EVERY diagnostic test they are now running (yes they still have my car a month later) I'm being charged for diagnostic fees I have to pay for parts because they still DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. THE TOP STILL ISN'T WORKING & KNOW ONE KNOWS WHY. And Maxcare won't approve a car rental which I'm paying for & it's in the warranty. Called CarMax where I purchased the car for help if ANY KIND it's out of there hands. Called CarMax Corporation and there's nothing they can do . Called MAXCARE that's was a joke, they said until we know what's wrong with it they will not approve a rental. Or the work being done on my car. I tried speaking with the VW manager but he raised his voice and said there's nothing he could do. Not even give me a shuttle ride home because I'm out of the approved mileage range for that service. So in the mean time I've missed work, missed Dr appts, gone without food and essentially things I need to live on and take care of myself and my pets. I'm 65 years old making $10.00 an hr 5 hrs at a time 2 days a week. Explain how I'm to pay for this car when & if I get it back. Because VW already said they're going to work on until they find something because they're not making a dime right now. But never mind ...me as a consumer still paying the car payment which isn't cheap and the insurance so it's costing me roughly over $600 a month for something I don't or cannot drive. So my rating for these companies is a 0 zero no stars just a big pile of headaches and money wasted. If you can point me to some one who can help me that would be great. As far as CarMax, CarMax Corporate and Maxcare Extended Warranty with CarMax that a rip off I pd over $5000 for a warranty that's crap.Thank you
