I go to this location at least once a week. The older man that works there over night has been disrespectful to me on more than one occasion. I try to avoid him and get in the store as quickly as possible because he makes me feel really uncomfortable as a woman. I've noticed him purposely running over to the counter tonight once he saw me come in. For example : " put your drink on the counter " . You can pay now" The cash registers are self-serve. Its unnecessary for him to do this literally every time I come in.
He gives me full instructions every time I come in . I've worked education for 10 years. Specifically teens with behavioral issues. I'm very good at noticing when someone is purposely trying to engage in conflict. This man is completely aware of how he speaks to me. Its always eventually with a condescending tone. I never talk to him because I notice it and I'm trying to avoid conflict. Tonight it was unavoidable. He immediately spoke unprofessional to me when I came to the register. Accusing me of having an " attitude " . Because I told him I'm aware of what to do. After he " gave me instructions " again at the self-service check out.
When the item rang up incorrectly , as it often does. ( small chips $2.89 rang up $4.99) I asked him could he change the price . He told me " No I can not" .
Then he began to argue with me yelling back and forth. I requested that he leaves me alone when I come in the store and stop disrepecting me . This man would not stop saying things to continue the conflict . He went back and forth over and over after I asked him to back off and stop being unprofessional. When I walked out the door he was still talking about me to the next customer. No woman should feel this uncomfortable to come in a convenience store. None of the other staff behaves this way. I should be able to come get what I need and leave.
I have filled out my concerns online with the company. I also requested a call from the manager.

So there is a man that works there, Mexican, black hair, brown eyes, maybe not exactly 6ft yet, medium size, and possibly late 20s, that's always a little less than kind with me. I know I'm young and black, but I haven't done anything. Recently, I came in there and asked flif they could break a five and he acted like it was impossible. I guess he questioned as to if the five dollar bill was real or not and I understand being careful, but he wouldn't even examine it. However, his co worker helped me out and broke it for me. Then even more recently than that I went in there and he refuses to speak or even make eye contact with me, and that's fine, that's his right, but it let's me know that he has a problem with me and that's fine too. So I ring up my items and try to put them in the bag, but having a hard time as the bag wouldn't open. Instead of him offering to help, he decides to rush me and let me know that he thinks I'm up to no good by stating, "stating are you paying with cash or card?" Kind of telling me to pay in a sly way, of course he had to be careful what words he used as the police were there too. He very subtly treats me like a criminal, very subtly. I would've had more respect for him if he just told me to my face that he believes that I'm up to no good as a opposed to playing little stupid word games for those whom he believes are stupid. I guess I've matured over the years, because I usually don't let anyone hurt my feelings more than once.

It's 1:04am and I didn't wanna be up or have to go out to the store but Ms Shay had the right music/vibe and attitude and she was so cool and calm it changed mine...In short I had a long day off from work but how they messed up/short paid my check made it mandatory that I get more cigarettes and beer to prevent myself from getting up and driving to work to lose my job...but Ms Shay handled me well..and even gave me the instructions on how to apply to get a job at Circle K to pay and stay current on bills...I sat in the parking lot and applied so it was done before I got home and started heavily drinking and not be able to

This gas station is horrible. I never seen a gas station that's so unreliable. They never has gas long enough to be efficient. You have like 5 other gas stations close by that never have that problem

There's no reason or excuse why this gas station is ALWAYS out of gas. Poorly managed. No other gas station has this problem.

Circle K Memphis either has No area manager or has the worst one in North America. Faults are to many to list, if you have another option. Take it.

This store is always close and I’m here now on 3/27/2023 at 10:36pm . They are closed and they should be open. Since the new people got hired the place went down hill

The young African America lady with the disabled arm that's working tonight has the most foul mouth ever: there is was a young lady with her small child and she was just cursing up a storm. She has terrible customer service. Truly disgraceful

I have never been treated so poorly by a cashier (Circle K - 1710 Whitten Rd). I suppose I deserved it for wanting to check out while she was busy eating and ignoring the store!!! I tried to use the new self-checkout stand, because she was ignoring the line, but it kept ringing up the wrong items, so I requested she check me out. I was told to get to the end of the line, even though I am already at the FRONT of the line! She was so rude, I threw my items on the ground and left. So, if you buy a sandwich there, and it tastes gritty, it's just the one I threw on the floor that they moved back to the sandwich case. Disgusting that people like that get hired.
