It also organizes diverse and innovative programs, with a rotating temporary gallery and a permanent collection. The interactive area appeals to visitors of all ages. Housed in a beautifully preserved colonial manor, the institution is distinguished by its blend of art, history, and natural beauty. Admission is free thanks to donors, sponsors, and members, with donations accepted and encouraged. It is a wonderful place to see some art and spend time outside, perfect for family and friends. The venue also hosts phenomenal events and has a cafe. With plenty of parking, it makes for a pleasant afternoon.
My first visit with a member friend. Absolutely beautiful. Lunch is the cafe was wonderful. One of the greatest assets of Memphis.

A beautiful art museum with beautiful outdoor gardens to walk around in. Admission is free (donations accepted and encouraged) but it makes for a wonderful place to see some art and spend time outside

We couldn't believe this was free to visit. A beautiful garden along with an impressive collection of impressionist art. Our kids enjoyed the porcelain collection and the interactive area of the museum and we got drinks at the cafe. Such a pleasant afternoon.
