This has been the most unfriendly bank I have EVER dealt with. I have an auto loan through them so I don’t go to local offices. Maybe the local services are better but the customer service on the phone is absolutely horrible and rude. They do not take debit card payments on loans and if you have any hardships good luck. I can’t wait to get this car paid so I can be done with this bank.

I refinanced my vehicle & confirmed my payoff check was posted to my account. I was told to wait 2 weeks for docs to be available even though the check had been received. I called multiple times & left messages but no one has returned my calls. Not sure if they screen calls but no one will even answer the phone. This is the worst service I have ever experienced with a bank. I'm not sure how they are still in business.

Worst bank to work with. Avoid avoid avoid as much as you can this type of banks. Cant even setup automatic payments without doing another 100 step process first.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Women on the phone was very rude and no help what so ever on simply making loan payment online.Highly recommend avoiding this bank.EDIT: To the owner. You never reached out which is no surprise. I would love to discuss the issues.There is one horrendous employee in the payments department. She sends people back into the call que mid conversation. Doesn’t listen at all. Refuses to discuss account issues by claiming our address is incorrect (even though we have discussed account details with multiple other employees including her). I mean I really don’t understand how she hasn’t been fired. It would just take a few minutes of listening to the recorded calls and it would be painfully clear.

This bank is not customer friendly and the online system is antiquated. Once the online registration is finally set up you cannot make a payment on a loan other than the monthly payment amount. If you call to make an additional payment you are transferred to the COLLECTIONS department and are treated like you are late on your bank note.

Bought a car. Got my loan through them. No issues there. I moved. Tried to get a payout. Can't get a hold of anyone after calling multiple times a day over a week. Left multiple voice-mail.No call back.Filed a complaint with the Tennessee banking commission. Got bumped up to the FDIC.Finally got a call back after filling a complaint. The extension I recieved didn't work. Customer service is rude, when they do answer the phone.

Some treat customers poorly, not willing to help fix account issues with incorrect name spelling and online access issue, harasses with calls multiple times daily when even 1 day past your loan payment. Wish I could've went somewhere else. I advise to go anywhere but here for your financial institution.

Rates a joke. Can find double the rates elsewhere than what their offering. New employees every month, you might as well should try elsewhere because customer service is average. they enjoy the rich white clients more from what I've heard.

I mailed a payment on June 30th, as of July 20th still has not been processed! Have tried calling, no answer! It is 2022 and they have no way to pay in a convenient manner without charging a ridiculous fee! No reason for this kind of business practice in 2022!

This bank is a joke. Everytime I call no less than 20 minutes just to talk someone, then I get transferred back and forth. My highest wait time on hold hit 1hr37min...The fees just to make a payment are outrageous., and there ability to properly report to the credit agencies is quite lacking. I don't recommend this bank to anyone. Sooner or later I will other agencies willing to refinance my loan, and I will wash my hands of this nonsense.

Customer service is HORRIBLE! I hate the dealership even does business with this bank…I’m furious at the dealership as well for even allowing me to get a loan through them….just the 1st month….??…almost feels like it’s not a real bank… Before you buy a car PLEASE PLEASE make sure this isn’t and option. You won’t like the experience.

I have an auto loan with Independent Bank Memphis TN. To avoid any late fees I mail my payment three weeks before it is due and it still is late, according to Independent Bank. If you pay online or on the phone there is a $15.00 convenience fee. I called Customer Service three times and left three messages. No one has returned my calls yet. THIS IS THE WORST BANK I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. It is obvious that this Bank is NOT processing the payments until after it is past due, in order to collect late fees.

Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Every customer service rep acts like it is their first day on the job and don't know anything. I was sent from one service rep back into the customer phone queue simply because she did not know the answer to my question. All I needed to know is the four digit zip code extension. She said she asked all of her colleagues around her and nobody else knew either. The wait times are absolutely insane and the fees for online bill pay are criminal. It's 2022 and the only way to avoid paying a fee is to mail a check or use another institution that cares enough about their clients to not charge fees for every day transactions. The phone menu doesn't function well at all. The extension it tells you to dial for customer service (from their own website) says it is invalid. After waiting for long periods of time it asks you to leave a message and nobody will call you back. I've recommended the dealer that utilizes this bank for their loans to stop using them.
