My experience at Independent Bank was next level. It was a breath of fresh air to find a banker that does what’s best for the customer. Mr.Eddie Marshall was extremely knowledgeable and knows how to make the customer feel comfortable with big decisions. I believe Mr. Marshall thinks 20 years ahead to ensure that you’re getting what’s best for you. Eddie Marshall and Independent Bank ranks number one on my list. Highly recommended!

I came to this bank under the assumption that I would receive help. Christina Booker explained how she has to verify the authenticity of my check. My experience was terrible reminded of "Ryan Coogler" minus going to jail. I went to another bank, felt profiled.

My auto loan is financed through independent bank. Their online system is difficult to navigate, you can't set up an online account to review previous payments, and you can only set up automatic withdrawals by mailing in a form with a $10 fee! It's 2023! The customer service reps are rude & don't help at all. Gives real fraud vibes. Will move my loan ASAP.

Bank is extremely difficult to navigate. If you do not live directly in Memphis the Auto Draft to pay a bill is terrible to set up. I would pay a higher rate at a different bank to not deal with these issues. I will be changing banks and not using ever again.

Their online banking is confusing and difficult to use. I would strongly recommend someone for using it. It is designed for you to fail, which then they can charge late fees.

Poor rates , if you compare to other rates you'll see their at the bottom. Small banks are favored because of the customer service and personalizing which this bank lacks

never finance anything i mean anything from this place!!!!!!! they never answer the phone and will hang up on you and it takes pulling teeth to even pay your car loan.

Independent Bank Memphis TN is the worst Bank I have ever dealt with. They hold your payment until it is late to collect a late fee. Charge you a $15.00 convenience fee to pay online and on the phone. Customers Service is a joke. Fraud at the highest level.

I have been banking with independent bank since 2017. When opening my account, I signed up for over draft protection so that I could not overdraft AT ALL. Despite this, my account frequently overdrafts, and i was charged $35 for every overdraft and $6 A DAY until my account went back into the positives. After calling every time it over drafted, I usually had the issue resolved with the promise it wouldnt happen again (and would still end up paying them hundreds to get my account positive again) and it continued to happen. I've finally had enough, and decided to close my account only to find I was over drafted AGAIN and owe them $100?! What good is over draft protection if it doesn't even stop you from over drafting? This is by far the worst bank I've ever had the displeasure of using, and I wouldnt reccomend to my worst enemy! Don't bank here, it's not worth the hassle.

Independent Bank was used for an auto loan. I have had this loan for five years and have remained in good standing and even paid a little extra on the loan every month. We had some personal things going on the past month and completely forgot to set up the monthly payment. We missed the grace period by only one day and this was immediately reported to my credit AND we were charged $140 late fee on a late $335 payment. We called thinking surely our good history would allow for a little one time grace regarding the matter but they were not interested in budging on the matter at all. I don't have this issue frequently so I'm not sure how others would handle but this is horrible customer service in my opinion and we will never do business with them again.
