I called the Kirby Kroger pharmacy asking if they would be able to help me at 7:00pm (which is when my GPS showed that I would arrive), and I asked because I had found out that they closed a 7:00. A woman answered the phone, and I gently explained how it was urgent that I got my medicine tonight because I am extremely ill with both the flu and strep viruses, and all I said was "I understand that you close at 7:00 sharp, but if you wouldn't mind making an exception for me and helping me at 7:00-7:01 when I arrive, I would appreciate it so much." I wasn't being rude or belligerent in any way whatsoever. Then, the woman rudely interrupted me and snapped back, telling me they do not make any exceptions and that unless I can show up before 7:00, they will not help me. It isn't that she said no (because I was fully prepared to just go home and wait until the morning), but rather it's the way she was speaking to me. She practically snapped at me! And then she bluntly said, "If you want to speak with my pharmacy manager, I can let her know—but she is on the phone so you will have to wait." I hesitated and responded, "No it's okay, I can just come early in the morning I gue-", and then she just rudely hung up when I was mid-sentence!This is the first review that I've ever left, which is really saying something if I feel the need to leave one for this issue... but that woman's customer service skills were awful. Complete lack of tact or remorse.

I've had numerous friends and family tell me never to go to this kroger and the other day I got first hand experience as to why not. Since my kroger was shut down(:poplar/kirby) for remodeling this is where I went to grab the 8 piece fried chicken. Usually there are some put out but there wasn't any so I asked the guy if there was any available he said no. Yet there was 2 hotel pans of cooked fried chicken on his station. I look at him and he continues to ignore me. This kroger is horrible

this place is disgusting. I moved in down the street about 3 years ago and it hasn't changed a bit. If I'm in a rush I MIGHT stop here to get a bag of cheese or chips or something but would NEVER buy anything vegetables, meats etc. If you're not there within the first hour or two of them opening there will not be any carts available. The parking lots stays trashed and the inside is always filthy. Do yourself a favor and turn around to the Kroger on Poplar, it's a little better. Or become a member at Costco, but only if you are not one of the customers who contributes to the absolute mess that this place is. Us Costco members don't your kind ruining something we have that is nice and clean. Kroger, you better send in some reinforcements and train your staff to do their damn job. this is so unacceptable.

All departments except the deli!! That mean man in the deli department who I don't believe like his job, he is funny because he is faithfully there to serve (in which I am grateful) but he is just so mean lol. I love this neighborhood Kroger

A few years ago they had great service. Now they have the worst service ever. You can wait days for a prescription, even on automatic refill. We transferred to Kroger Trinity and are much happier now. No more waiting for days..

My wife was in line to check out an almost full cart. She was in line for several minutes then when she was second in line the young lady checking people out turned to the remaining customers and said I'm done you will have to self check out. This was Thursday around 8:00 pm. Needless to say we will not go back to this store. Sad Kroger is our only choice.

I’m experiencing same issues.. Pharmacy department has gotten terrible. I'm not sure if it's a lack of staff or what. Medicine is never ready when they promise. Calling you either get put on hold or they hang up on you. An medicine take hours sometimes days.

Pharmacy department has gotten terrible. I'm not sure if it's a lack of staff or what. Medicine is never ready when they promise. Calling you either get put on hold or they hang up on you. An medicine take hours sometimes days if you don't stay on them. I remember my prescription would get fill within 15-30 minutes top. Really no such thing as waiting on prescriptions now cause it will take for ever. Use to be one of the best pharmacy in the city. My medicine that had a particular day to be filled would automatically be filled now I have to call the day of. An oh the text aren't accurate anymore. Drive thru is closed quite often as well.

I had been avoiding the Covid-19 vaccine because I was afraid of the new technology. The Johnson one is basically the normal flu shot with COVID instead of flu. So, I asked for that one in such a way that the pharmacist understood how afraid of the others. She TOOK THE TIME to show me the vile she was using. I didn’t even ask her to do that, on the way in I did consider asking beforehand. Then she took the time to talk about the Johnson and showed understanding of my fears and didn’t try to talk me into the vaccine that I was “deathly “ afraid of.That was usual respect given to a patient and I really appreciate it.

I have been using this Kroger pharmacy for years (even though I live 30 minutes away) because I used to receive great customer service. In the last few years (pre-COVID), customer service has gone from great to absolutely the worst I have received anywhere. The staff members are consistently rude and unprofessional. I have asked for management information several times and been told simply that I would have to come in or call back when they were available.I have had a staff member try to turn me away when I had been in line for 10 minutes because it was exactly 6:00 when it was my turn. I have had coupons refused, been loudly complained about by staff members, and when I asked if I could transfer my prescriptions to another Kroger, was told, "Sweetie, you can transfer your prescriptions wherever you want."I would somewhat understand the rudeness if I was an unpleasant or overly entitled customer, but I try to be understanding since I also work at a customer-based business. It is absolutely shameful that Kroger and the pharmacy's management allows their staff to be so unprofessional. That lack of professionalism may be due to a negative working environment or underpaid employees, but, either way, it should be handled by Kroger and not spill over into how customers are treated, especially in a medical environment. I've thankfully transferred my prescriptions and sincerely hope I do not experience this same treatment.

The self check out employees are very rude and don't want to help. The white older woman is soooo racist she would rather help white customers than black customers. I have been a customer at this location for about 7 years. It's ridiculous.
