So, I wanted to join to have a place to lap swim outside. I’m a former swimmer and the JCC is very close to my home. However, if you want to join during the summer (May—July), they require a full year cost upfront/non refundable! Most people can’t afford that! Ridiculous!

The women's steam room literally smells like fish all the time. The gym is nice with many workout options. Parking is accessible. And again tha women's steam room literally smells like a fish market.

My experience at the Jewish Community Center was absolutely disappointing and appalling. This is my very first experience here and we were here for a basketball game with my son's league. The older caucasian lady at the front desk was not welcoming, not helpful, and was rude and would not try to assist me directly. Terry who came down to assist me and the young man with her they were helpful and tried to assist me the best they could (they were the managers). Terry was absolutely AWESOME!! She is every bit of what great customer service, empathy, sympathy, love and kindness of God represents. Everyone else should be trained to be like her. I am so grateful that she came to assist, but the outlook of this community center experience quickly went from kind of ok to the absolute worse experience for my first time visiting this place in a matter of 15 minutes. The referees they had refereeing the 11–12-year-old boys basketball game, were horrible. Especially the female referee. She was short, heavy set African American female with long dreads. She was not making calls and parents from the stands were telling her to make calls and what calls to make. She, in return, called the managers and had 3 different parents ejected from the game that came to support their loved ones. She lied on one of the parents saying they threatened her, when everyone near the parent was saying she didn't threaten the referee. The female referee had to stoop this low and lie like this, when all she had to do was call a fair game and ignore the comments being made in the stand. So, this shows the character and morals of the community center. They support liars and wrongdoing, and do not have the children's best interest at heart. The referees allowed their home team to get away with so much stuff. They allowed the boys too play too aggressive, they were not calling the calls right, they allowed boys on both teams to aggressively, without reason, push an opposing player down and nothing was done. There were coaches, ex-basketball players, and ex-referees in the stands that know the rules and game of basketball. The majority of the parents there were disappointed and extremely disgusted with the handling (well MISHANDLING) of this game tonight. There mandatory mask protocols are an absolute joke. They force you to wear a mask to get in, but then cram tons of parents/spectators all together on small bleachers in a small area to watch their children play. They forced the boys (children) to play the entire time with masks on, which was uncomfortable for the children. Their gym barely had enough seating for the people at the game. I pray we never have to play here or go to this community center ever again. Basketball for children is supposed to be fun and a learning experience, but all I saw was extremely aggressive children trying to hurt one another and poor examples of referees. I try to train and raise my son to have good sportsmanship, have fun, and play well. This community center showed my son something completely opposite of what I take pride in teaching him.

Little known fact, but the MJCC has the best pool in the area. Slides, lazy river, the works.

I had the unpleasant experience of speaking to an employee named Judy this morning and she was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Maybe you should invest in some phone training for your employees, or at least fire the ones with severe attitude problems.

Very bad experience multiple times in the school for our two year old. Witnessed teacher in front of me dragging our son across the room by his arm in front of me whie dropping him off. It concerned me because if she did this in front of me what did she do when I was not there. I called and explained my concern and they assured me the director would be advised. A few days went by and after not hearing anything I ask why I had not been reached out to about what occurred. They apologized stated they hadn't been busy (unacceptable) other parents advised me same thing had happen to their child there. Other things occurred and the way they handled them wasn't very unprofessional. Do not recommend them at all.
