Average atmosphere. I had to ask them to restart the music when the playlist ended. The bread was fresh and good. The ribeye lacked flavor, was thin and cooked uneven. Had to send one back as it was overcooked - they did a bit better on the second one. The baked potato was good and the house salad was ok too. It is overpriced as everything is a la carte. Texas Roadhouse is better for a much lower price.

This place should not be called Mesquite Grille. This place should be called Must get outta Hell.First, I had reservations and nobody was really in the place and my options were to sit in front of the door on a pub table where the wind is cold when the doors open or sit in front of the cooks. I chose the cooks. When sitting near the cooks, warning: There is an annoying high pitch buzz/ long continuous beep that goes off constantly and it’s really annoying to listen to it while out to eat. I could have stayed home and made my fire alarm go off if that’s what I enjoyed listening to!Now, to start dinner… that bread is so hard and tough. I could not make my front teeth do that tugging/tearing without fear of needing braces.Okay, a raspberry mojito has raspberry in it or a raspberry syrup or something raspberry. If not, and it’s just plain mojito! Next, I got the chicken breast with mash. I asked the waitress can I SUBSTITUTE for a baked potato. She said yes.I got my appetiser on time; which was the bacon shrimp and those shrimps were so over cooked. I ate them, but they sucked. My chicken breast came out on a big plate all by itself and it was so hard and over cooked. I couldn’t eat much of the chicken breast. My salted baked potato had no salt. The baked potato was on its own dish; which has been sitting on the cooking ledge for 10 minutes. I watched the sitting baked potato move from under the heating lamp, by the cook with the dreads, to out of the heat light lamp, by the manager a couple of times. It was like a potato placement war! Just give it to me?! Then I saw it was delivered to me. Yeah, I get the sitting baked potato. It was still hot and the best part of my dinner! After, we get our check and we see that we are charged 10.00 for the baked potato. We asked why it wasn’t SUBSTITUTED and the sever just said oh you still have to pay for it. My husband replied to her, then it’s not substituted and that’s what my wife asked you when she ordered. This waitress never went to the manager, all that was said was sorry for the inconvenience. No manager was called and no care was very evident. Her mistake and we have to pay for it and did pay for it because 20% tip is force, plus tax.I am reviewing this place to let the manager, owner(s) and the people know that there is a reason that all the other places around this hole has business and this eatery does not have much going on.To the people… Run. Don’t go here. It’s a mistake at the Mesquite.

I don't normally write reviews, but I had a very disappointing experience here on Valentine's Day. My husband and I arrived around 8:05 for an 8:15 reservation. We were greeted and seated quickly, but it was all downhill from there. It was about 20 minutes before we were able to place our drink orders and quite a while to receive them. After another wait, we received our appetizers (which we did enjoy). And that was the extent of our service. We waited, and waited, and waited. Around 9:25, 3 couples in our section gave up on their food and left. The remaining 5 or 6 tables began discussing the wait and wondering what was going on. The server did come back around a couple times to say the kitchen was working on food. Finally, at 10:05, the manager (not really sure, she didn't introduce herself) came around to speak to us. At this point, nobody had received any food beyond appetizers, so my husband requested our check. It took 3 tries for us to receive the correct check. We were finally able to leave at 10:33, which was too late for us to have any real options for Valentine's dinner. We received neither an apology nor an explanation. Conveniently, the "contact us" link on their website doesn't work (screenshot included).

The food was fine, however the amount of time it took to get entrees and desserts was terriblly long. My entire party was visibly frustrated and ready to leave. Party of 6 and it took over two hours and 15 minutes from start to finish.

We've eaten here several times and it seems every time it just gets worse. When our waitress finally showed up she was ready for us to order food and we hadn't even ordered drinks. We waited forever for our drinks and I finally walked up to the bar and got them myself. It took forever to get our food! The restraint was far from full but service sure was slow! Our water was never refilled and we would have ordered another drink but figured we wouldn't have gotten it. She brought or bill but never came back to pick it up so we finally took it to her. She had one other table besides us and couldn't keep up.

Service was terrible and the food was too. There only 2 waitresses and two cooks. Waited 45 minutes for appetizers. Then 30 minutes after ordering then entrée, they told us they were out of the steak we ordered. Nothing good to say about this place.

I am not normally a review person, but do not expect to have a great evening at this establishment. First of all, we waited 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We could see two empty tables with drinks on them that we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to clean. There were employees standing around/wandering playing the "not my job" game. The hostess disappeared for about 15 minutes during this time. Finally, we were seated. Did not have a server. We were served by the bartender (who was also slammed working the bar). No ill will towards the bartender, we could seriously tell that she was doing everything she could to help take care of us. She was the only one with any sense, to be honest. Asked for wine list, was told they didn't have a full wine list (not sure why that would even be true). Was sold a $7.55 bottle of wine (twist top) for $30 as it was the only bottle range available on menu. Ordered cab, was brought merlot. It was a twist top. Lovely. 50 minutes from the time we sat down, we our appetizer was finally set in front of us (over an hour past our reservation). Lobster queso. Stadium level ingredient quality. I can't tell you how many people who were waiting to be seated just got up and left when they realized the hostess was being dishonest with them. Steak was cold and did not meet the standards. We would've said something there, but we had absolutely no faith that it would be addressed. Also didn't want the bartender to have to deal with anything else. All things considered, this was a massive waste of money. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I'd have had a more pleasant evening at a Texas Roadhouse. Way overpriced, poor quality ingredients/beverages, deplorable service, and incompetent staff. We are well past the Covid understaffing excuses. Do not waste your money at this establishment. The management group should either invest in improvements to quality or sell and give someone else a chance.

We were seated, they brought us water and we ordered drinks, 45 minutes later and still no drinks. Had to go ask for them. We finally order. 45 minutes later 8 cold steaks arrive at our table. We ask for the manager. She gives us roughly 10 dollars per meal off. Junk. Paid over 400 dollars for 8 cold waffle house quality steaks. The whole night was wasted.

Went here for dinner the day before valentines. Area wasn't busy at all. We parked on the street at the front door. Decor is decent. Booth and table seating. We had the chocolate eruption then steak and chicken pasta. The cake was very good. Food was mid. Husband said the steak tastes like it was created in a lab. The asparagus was yellowing but ok to eat I guess. My pasta portion was large so he filled up on my dish. We left our debit card there and tracked it down days later. They had it safe for us. Thumbs up. We'd come back for the dessert.

Food is mid. Not worth the price AT ALL. We went on Valentine’s Day and even though they weren’t packed it took two hours for us to get bread. The waitress didn’t even apologize. We probably spoke to her for a total of two minutes for the 2.5hours we were there. Drinks tasted good but that’s where we should’ve left. We had to ask three different people to order and ended up walking to the bar to pay so we could get out. The Mac n cheese was shameful. Total waste of money and what was supposed to be a romantic night. Embarrassed that Memphis keeps this place in business with all the young chefs and restaurants that would kill for this location. Will never go again or recommend to anyone.Parking: When your food and service is bad and the cost of entry is $8 (parking garage fee) it’s time to re-evaluate!

Absolutely horrible service. We waiting over 2.5 hours for our food. The waiters did not care or even asked if we wanted anything. We expected great service and got horrible service. I do not recommend this place at all !!!!!!! Ruined our valentines. We walked out with no food or haven’t even ate. They didn’t care !

We never got to experience the food. Once we ordered and opened up our silverware, the experience was over. Hair was in BOTH sets of silverware! We quickly left. We weren't going to risk eating anything.
