Disappointed that the kiosk employee stated that I could only get a Chevrolet Malibu from the Emerald Aisle after seeing that I was an executive elite. This is the first time that I've had this happen. I couldn't take a different car even though the lane was full. I don't see the point in maintaining loyalty status in a company if employees don't receive proper training on how loyalty programs work.

About three weeks ago I had a rental for 3 days but had to change plans and only use two days. My rental agreement time was supposedly changed so that I had 24 hours to pick up car. When I went to drive out it system my rental agreement was cancelled. A very helpful young lady Jamesia A. made sure to re-add my booking at the original rate even though they were actually out of cars. She called a supervisor and made my day by getting ever taken care of with no issues, just great customer service. She and the supervisor should train more employees to always remain positive and do whatever you can for your customer. Thanks again Jamesia & National.Ernest G.

The service people like Joel and Irene was excellent. I love the car. Very good quality. The person at the front desk not so much. I was shot that national charges $400 security deposit. I rent cars quite a bit because I travel a lot. Usually it's a 200 to $250 security deposit. Not a big deal. I just don't get it. But maybe because it's national. I would recommend running from them. The cars are top quality

I travel a good bit and always rent from National. I love the experience, the ease, and the quality of the cars. But the Memphis experience this week was horrible. It took almost 45 minutes just to get out of the garage. I had used the app for expedited checkout and should have just been able to show them my code and drive on. But the line out of the gate was at least 10 cars deep in three different Iines. Then the attendant had trouble just checking me out (which took another 15 minutes). We were late for our dinner reservation because of the long wait.

Haven't figured out the Emerald Club yet. I am a member but it seems that I am still required to wait in the long lines when originally I was told I could go directly to the car and leave. Car was perfect on my last rental with one exception . . . the tank was not full. Upon my return I filled it to above the full line. The National people are always nice. I encourage anyone from National to reach out and explain the benefits of the Emerald Club.

Typically renting from National is great with no issues but my experience with the Memphis Airport location wasn't the best. It took over an hour to get a vehicle. At other locations when cars become available they allow people to get them regardless of the class but this location was having people wait til mid and full size cars were available. A guy was waiting when I arrived because there were no SUVs available but they wouldn't allow him to have the luxury one that was available unless he paid for the upgrade. When I got a vehicle there was caked up dirt in the tire walls and dirt below the doors. The vehicle was fine and clean outside of that so I took it because I didn't want to continue waiting and others were waiting behind me.

Historically my experience with National has been fantastic. However, my most recent rental was less than sufficient. Upon arrival at the airport, the car that I had requested and called in advance of my visit was not available. There were no cars available in the fleet to accommodate the number of people I had. After an hour plus weight, I eventually got someone to help me and multiple promises were made regarding discounting my rental, and not paying for gas costs. At the completion of my rental, I found out they did charge me for gas and I had to make another phone call to resolve that. Overall, I will most likely rent with them again because they are one of the few car rental agencies that often have cars available, but I will be very hesitant and booking when I have a large party to accommodate.

They let us make a reservation and then said they didn't have a car. Please do not rent from the airport in Memphis they are all scams and are not reliable. Rent off cite if you have places to be. The person working at the front did not know what was going on and they need way better communication this is one of the worst experiences I have a countered in car rentals. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AIRPORT IN MEMPHIS!

My car did not have a full tank of fuel when I picked it up. It was down a couple gallons. I fueled it up full on my return and I was offer a free day rental when I returned it by the Curtis. I said that was too much and we worked out something that was more equitable

The staff was very helpful. The car was recently washed and had a spare disinfectant wipe in it. There is one improvement opportunity I would suggest: be attentive to the drink holders when cleaning. The ones in the car had something sticky in them that got on my capped water and it carried over tot he desk I was using.

I normally don't have an issue with national so I'm assuming it's just this location. I just rented a car in Vegas over Labor Day weekend for 2 days with no issues. This weekend I'm visiting family so I rented a vehicle in Memphis for one day to go to the fair. I included my flight itinerary in the reservation and I just so happened to log into my American Express app to see that I've been charged $450 for a hold on a $69 rental. With taxes and fees the entire rental is $89. I'm a Tennessee resident with the Tennessee license. The rep held like seven times the price of the rental.That's outrageous.When you treat your good customers like criminals you lose your good customers.I just started renting with this company again because my last employer was discounted through Hertz. I'm no longer executive, however I am still Emerald.

My family and I were very pleased with our car rental service. We had great service from the time we picked up our vehicle at the Memphis airport to the time we returned it. Tonisha the representative who assisted us when we arrived went over and beyond. We reserved a standard size SUV. They didn’t have any on the lot so Tonisha made a phone call and we were upgraded to a full size SUV and it was a newer model SUV. When we returned the vehicle the representative was very pleasant and went over and beyond to make sure we were checked back in right away. We will definitely rent from National again.

The pick up and drop off could not have gone smoother. The truck was new with only 7,000 miles on it but had an error message that kept coming on about an air damper. Also when I picked it up in Little Rock the cab smelled like someone had recently smoked pot in the vehicle. The smell diminished over the 7 days but was very strong and made me nervous because other people could smell it also. Overall National is an excellent rental car company and have been a great service provider. I will keep using them.

I loved my first experience. There was a small issue with my paperwork but they figured it out without the inconvenience. Selecting my vehicle was simple and returning was simple. There was no wait for the emerald club members. Drop off was painless as well. I'll definitely book for business and personal use.

I scheduled a reservation several weeks in advance for a full size SUV and I couldn't be happier with the process. Checkout was smooth and easy and returning the vehicle was even easier. 100% will utilize this service again in the future. Large inventory of great vehicles and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience.
