Cannot speak highly enough about Lesley! She was patient and really took time to explain every step of what I needed and why. She got me set up with a solid kit, hand chose some great flies for me that she knew were working locally, and got me out of the door about $200 cheaper than I estimated. Will be shopping there for gear exclusively.

The store manager, Lesley, is fantastic. She’s very knowledgeable on fly fishing, fly tying and the full Orvis lineup. She has always gone to great lengths to get answers for my questions and has always provided me with top notch service before and after the sale. She’s a keeper in my book. I’ll always shop Orvis first when I’m in Memphis…and it’s because of Lesley and her managing style. Her staff is fantastic as well.

Love the Orvis product, but the service from the store manager at the local store on a recent visit was abysmal. First, they had put the wrong item on hold for me which meant I couldn't get what I'd wanted as a Christmas gift for a family member. Next, she wanted to credit me on a return for an amount showing in their computer that was less than what I was charged for on the original online order by $40+ and then refused to call Orvis directly to sort out the difference saying that whatever was on their screen was correct, period. Finally, I had them handle the return which should be free, but when I did receive the full original credit amount for the item (the same amount that I was expecting), I noticed that the local store had also charged me return shipping which I then had to call Orvis corporate again to get this credited back to my account. It's hard to find a decent selection of modern-looking, well-made clothes for men over 50 under one roof, but Orvis has done just that!TIP: "Active" fit shirts run about one size smaller in the mid-section than "Classic" fit. So if you wear XL in Classic fit, you'll need XXL in Athletic fit. After trying on about 15 shirts, the sizes and proportions were surprisingly consistent. Every Classic XL fit me exactly the same in all areas. And the staff was friendly and VERY helpful.
