I saw Caroline K for a long layered women’s haircut and she did a phenomenal job! My hair was long overdue for a cut and some shaping. She listened with care to my desired hair goals and brought them to life PERFECTLY. I have no notes. I’m in love with it, had fun talking with her, and will be back to see her!

Nathan was fabulous…He asked all the right questions, listened to my concerns and gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years! The salon is gorgeous and the support staff are very kind, welcoming and accommodating! I can’t wait to go back!

I have debated writing this review, but as the administrator of a small business I would want to know about a sub par experience that is easy to change.
I have visited Pavo 10 times since October. Eight of those were the standard/expected experience!
A few months ago, I arrived for a blowout with Jasmine. I checked in at the front and waited. I made this appointment to coincide with leaving work and picking up my daughter from school.
I understand that sometimes previous clients run late or a service takes longer, but after 45 minutes I walked up to the front to check. I’d have to leave in about 20 minutes to pick up my daughter so there was no way I would be seen in time. The front desk gave me a half hearted apology that Jasmine had a family emergency. Emergencies happen! Why didn’t they 1. Call me when she had to leave/not come in 2. Tell me when I checked in or 3. Come find me when I was sitting there waiting?
I let this experience slide and returned a few times since then.
This week, I walked in and checked in for my 1:15 appointment. This was scheduled with Lauren. I have never waited more than 15 minutes (aside from the above experience) so I walked back up to the desk after 1:30 to see if Lauren was running behind. A different employee was at the desk and asked if I had check in. I said yes and pointed to the person who I spoke with. She said you are checked in, Lauren will be with you shortly.
I head back to the desk around 1:50 to get a status update. One male employee said Lauren had a full foil in front of you and is running behind. A female employee said Lauren is going to come out and talk with you.
Lauren came out a few minutes later. She said she was running behind with a previous client. She said she told the call center to call me around 1:05 - 10 minutes before my appointment.
I picked up my phone and told her that I had no missed calls or voicemails. Honestly, I don’t know if the “call center” was actually notified. Regardless, I should have been informed at check in before my appointment and/or when I checked back after she would be “with me shortly.”
I was offered to be “fit in” at 2:30 with a different employee, but I needed to pick up my daughter from school and this was 1 hour and 15 minutes past the start of my initial appointment.
There needs to be better communication with the front desk and management should have been brought in during both of these situations to 1. Ensure it doesn’t happen again and 2. To take ownership with a client.

This is the second time i’ve visited and i’ve loved both experiences. The next gen stylist program is wonderful and both times using it has produced wonderful results. Love this place and will be going back.

I’ve been going to this salon since 2005 and they have never steered me wrong. The stylists are so fun to chat with but at the same time their brains are filled with color theory, newest haircuts, etc. They get down, they do not play. ❤️y’all!

This was my second time seeing David. I couldn't be happier with my haircut! He is highly skilled in color as well. He gave me a silver blend color that garnered many compliments. This is the only place I'll come to in the future. Thanks, David!

Experienced a family trauma and Anna worked me in on very short notice as we had to travel out of state. Cut and color takes time and being a bit scattered anna asked if i wanted to be pampered. What a pleasant and calming experience with a heat pack for my shoulders, a long and fabulous head massage helped me relax and aroma therapy was a pleasant surprise! The personal and professional attention to my special needs that day definitely help me through the traumatic and tough day and helped me better deal with a sad family funeral. A special Thanks to Anna for her personal care and concern. And yes, my hair was fabulous!!!

This place is now my go to for hair/scalp care and weekly facial since moving to Memphis. Prices are fair, service is great, and they have so many options with time availability. As for the place itself, is super modern, clean and uses top of the line products. I’ve had services from a number of different esthetician and hair stylist and can say that all are very good and have a passion for what they do. So no matter who you have an appt with, you’ll no doubt end up leaving happy with your service.
