The Peanut Shoppe is a family-owned local peanut store on Main Street, Tennessee, established in 1949. It is a favorite spot in downtown Memphis and a wonderful place visitors must make on their visit list. The shop offers all kinds of peanuts from all over the world, freshly roasted every day in the original old Mr. Peanut roaster. They provide a variety of delicious, warm roasted nuts, almonds, pistachios, and shelled or peeled nuts, alongside delicious dried fruits, milk chocolates, candies, and flavored popcorn. It is a very neat and clean little shop with all sorts of memorabilia around, perfect for shopping for delicious gifts. The owners are the most welcoming, with a pleasant and inviting demeanor, and provide such friendly service. They are a delight to talk to, extremely informative about the product, and show great enthusiasm for the shop's history. Customers find it a nest place to visit, praising the same great tasting peanuts and nuts despite the move from the original location. Many make a special stop during road trips or order from afar, thankful for the tasty treats and hospitality.
The kindest, nicest father and daughter team manning the shop when we visited. Yummy nuts and chocolates. The BEST herbal tea blend - they offer samples and an absolute must try. I wish I bought more.
