I recently had the good fortune to move into the apartment building which houses The Peanut Shoppe. I was able to meet the owner of the shop, Rida, this past weekend. Such friendly service. Rida offered me a cup of his special blend tea which was truly wonderful & warm. As I enjoyed the tea Rida told me of his history with the shop which was incredibly interesting mainly because of his enthusiasm. The shop offers so many varites of delicious, warm roasted nuts I found it hard to choose just one. Thankfully, by living in the building I will be able to frequent the Peanut Shoppe often.

Though forced out of their original 1949 location a few years back....this place has the same great tasting peanuts and nuts! That old Mr. Peanut (peanut roaster) is still used daily in the place. Very neat and clean little place - with all sorts memorabilia around.
But I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and visiting with the owner and his daughter.
These folks were absolutely great to visit with today. They've owned the shop the last 30+ years - but from their pleasant and inviting demeanor - you'd think this was their second day of owning the place - as they had so much joy in sharing information and speaking about their place. These folks really make a nest place to visit.
The peanuts....of yes, they're a darn great peanut! You'll love 'em!!

Everyone is so friendly. Also, try their complimentary herbal tea. Awesome while I waited for my order. The owner is super nice and friendly.

Super good experience!!
We bought a bag of chilled peanuts... Delicious. The owner made an effort to speak to us in Spanish and explained to us about his products and also invited us a cup of tea, very delicious. He gave my children lollipops. Very nice and helpful. Everything very clean, everything excellent!!

Awesome selection of sweet and salty treats! Visiting from California, stepped into this charming shop for a snack and we were met with the most welcoming owner and his daughter. Not only did we get some great snacks, but we were given many recommendations for good food and fun in the area. So friendly!

We visited the Peanut Shoppe during our Memphis trip a couple of weeks ago and was immediately greeted by Rida! What an amazing historical shop! Rida took us in and shared with us the history of the Peanut Shop and provided us samples of some of the best nuts we’ve ever tasted! He was so welcoming and friendly and was truly glad we stopped in!! He even gave Shannon a peanut roasting lesson! Can’t say enough great things about our visit there! So glad we stopped in! Thanks Rida!!

Visiting this shop was a beautiful experience all on its own! We will absolutely go back. The spicy roasted pecans are phenomenal. They have some delicious specialty Turkish desserts that are fantastic. However, the best part was the wonderful and playful owner, who served us tea as we tasted different items, told us history and stories of his life and the Shoppe, and made us laugh and smile. He and his daughter were extremely helpful and caring. I felt like I was stepping I to another time and place, where you are meant to take your time and taste and try things, and swap jokes and stories. Wonderful experience that made Memphis even more memorable.

We were fortunate to come across this amazing shop who is owned by the nicest family! The various nuts and treats are amazing, but the hospitality was even better. They made us smile and laugh so much. Do yourself a favor and fill your belly and soul here.

Amazing place to go and get not just nuts but candy and snacks too! Their chocolate covered pecans are my favorite! They are also pet friendly! If you haven't dropped by, you are missing out!
