I love this place! So peaceful and brings a real inner peace to be here. Master Kenpo is a true Treasure! Everyone is great and wants you to feel welcome. I highly recommend this Meditation Center. This is the place where all my pain and stress disappear, and I can connect with the Universe.

I started attending Pema Karpo in 2011. If you're searching for a good place for doing meditation, then this is the place for you. Meditation sessions are held Friday evenings and a combination of meditation and Buddhist chanting is done on Sunday mornings. Khenpo Gawang Rinpoche holds the equivalent of a PhD from Namdroling Monastery in Mysore, Indiia, so you can be assured he is offering genuine Buddhist teachings. There's no pressure to join and people of all faiths are welcome.

Pema Karpo is a really special place and one of a kind in our region. Check out the service schedule on the website and see what you like. If you are unsure of customs or what to do, send an email of ask when you get there.

A very warm, accepting atmosphere generated here. For anyone who hasn't practiced meditation, Friday evenings are great. Very basic, bare bones instruction.

I was a member of this Sangha for several years until I moved away. Even years later I sometimes cry from longing to be closer to my teacher Khenpo Gawang Rinpoche, who I still consider to be my teacher even though we are so far apart.Do not be shy about visiting. Rinpoche and the entire sangha are warm, inviting and welcome anyone of any religious affiliation. He never pushes or even mentions Buddhist etiquette. Though he has been a monk since the age of nine he's fond of telling newcomers "Don't feel shy that you are a beginner. We are ALL beginners." He jokes that though he's studied vigilantly and graduated among the top of his class at Namdraling University "When I was younger I thought I'd be enlightened by now, but still haven't gotten there!"Fridays are for teachings about meditation to benefit anyone. Sundays are basic dharma talks, stimulating for both body and mind. It will keep you riveted and wishing it could last all day! Rinpoche strongly wishes to meet privately with anyone new (a great honor considering his status!). He's so friendly and quick with a smile you'll feel like old friends the moment you lock eyes. He reminds me so much of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who I have also had the great honor and privilege to be granted a meeting. I don't use the word "awesome" often, but this man and this group really and truly are.
