Used for moving and had a great experience. I rented it for one month, and was able to leisurely fill the pod with all my things two weeks before my move, and then had it delivered to my new home where I emptied it. Everyone I spoke with was super nice and helpful. It's perfect if you don't want to stress about getting everything loaded up and moved in ONE DAY.

Had an issue with one of my POD’s being picked up. After seven calls to POD’s customer service and several pickup promises a POD customer service representative offered to give me the direct warehouse managers number so I took it. Once I saw my POD still had not been picked up, I called the number and talked with Mr. Derrick and explained the situation. He told me not to worry it would be the first POD picked up in the morning. I explained to him that I had been told that several times by customer service and he told me you can trust me if I said it’ll be done it will and he came through. My POD was picked up the next morning by 9am. After that for my next delivery and pickup I reached out and everything went so smoothly. The drivers were all very nice and polite. Thank you Mr. Derrick things wouldn’t have went so smoothly without you. - You’re the man! You got things done!!!!

Absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. It’s impossible to talk to them and when you do finally get a call back, no one is on the same page and they have no clue what they are doing. They delivered a broken container whose door would not close, called to have a new one delivered and instead they removed the defective container and never brought another one. After speaking with corporate and still being charged, it was determined the agent had placed a repo code, not a defective POD code. It took them 3 weeks to replace the POD and we were told we would get a refund for the month since we were not able to use the POD. nobody in this company is on the same page because instead of updating our current order they made another order and charged us over and over again even though we already paid. They STOLE over $600 from us claiming that they would refund us and still haven’t. We will be seeing you guys in court and we will be getting back way more than what you stole. Never ever use PODS they are an absolutely crooked company.

I tried to make an insurance claim after my POD was damaged by a reckless driver and still haven't heard back. That was a month ago. Also, apparently anybody can call and have your POD moved if they don't like where it is or just feel like being a jerk, because somebody - I don't know for sure who but I have my suspicions - called and had my POD moved somewhere else - I don't know where - without my consent.

We were told we could have our PODS delivered anywhere we moved. Before we could order our PODS we were told to give them a temporary zip code. Once we found out they wouldn't deliver to a permanent zip code they said they couldn't provide a service AFTER we paid for them to drop off PODS at our house and several months of renting them. Had to go back to my credit card company and charge back everything. The representative was no help when I called asking them to resolve this issue. Then they kept delaying picking up the PODS from my old house.

I have been trying for over a year to get a refund on some damage that was done to our home when they were delivering the Pod that we ordered. The company had us contact their insurance company and the insurance company tells us to contact corporate offices. Please do not use this company. We have worked on this claim for many hours and they keep giving us different people to contact. Corporate office approved the refund but the their insurance is refusing to pay us the $900.00

PODS IS A THIEVING, UNETHICAL, ANTIQUATED PROCESS USING, POOR EXCUSE FOR A BUSINESS. STAY AWAY!! I was going to use PODS for a move to CA. Let the young lady over the phone convince me to get the 8ft POD. I paid $385 for the first month rental fee as well as delivery fee. Once the POD was delivered I immediately saw that it was too small. I called PODS customer service the next morning to notify that it was too small. I was told that I would be able to return the POD and be refunded what I paid minus the delivery fee. They came and picked the POD back up 2 days later (September 2nd). I was told to allow 3-5 business days for the refund to approved and sent back to me. I understood the Labor Day holiday may add an extra day. No biggie. Here we are September 14th after 6 calls to the customer support team and I still dont have my refund. I was told that my refund wasnt even submitted for "investigation" until September 10th. 8 whole days after they got their POD back. I was told on 09.11 to allow 24 hours I should hear back. Nothing. I was told on 09.12 I should allow 72 hours from the date it was submitted for investigation. I have done EVERYTHING PODS has asked me to do. Kept open communication every step of the way. No response from the Customer Advocacy Team yet. You cant get in touch with them and yet they are the gate keepers for returning money that is owed. At this point, they are just stealing from me. I am in the middle of a cross country move and PODS thought it would be a good idea to screw me out of my refund that multiple agents over the phone have confirmed is due to me. In these tough economic times, companies like PODS are a pariah. Nobody can keep their word, a bunch of hollow apologies. And the customer advocacy team is definitely not advocating for the customers. If anything they are complicit in robbing them. I just want my money back so I dont ever have to deal with these thieves ever again. STAY AWAY FROM PODS. Run for the hills! Truth be told 1800-Packrat has a more customer friendly model.

Lazaro was great! The stuff in my pod shifted in transit and blocked the door and I couldnt get it open. After me and my dad tried to open it, we couldnt get it to budge with our bad backs. Lazaro took time in between his next couple deliveries to come back and help me pry it open. Would definitely recommend. He also took time to find the most convinient spot close to my apt stairs so that I would have a straight shot right into my apt in a spot that looked like it couldnt even fit in! Lazaro Rosser gets 2 thumbs up!

POD filled in Idaho and delivered to Tennessee without a hitch. On time as scheduled with zero problems!! Lazaro Rosser delivered it. He was professional and put the Pod in my driveway perfectly with zero issues.

STAY AWAY FROM PODS!!!!! RUN, DON'T WALK!!! ZERO STARS!!This company could care less about communicating with their customers. I ordered a POD for my boss and his daughter to be delivered to Memphis, TN and then shipped to California. The drop-off person was great! He called and we discussed where the POD made more sense to be placed.However, after this interaction it went downhill. They were supposed to come pick it up on a date but did not call to let us know they were coming and the email they sent did not have a delivery window. The person came, took a picture of their gate locked and left. He didn't even try to call. A simple call would have had the dogs put up and gate open.They rescheduled the pick-up days later. This time they are supposed to come in the afternoon from 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Again, the person did not call and showed up at 9:30 AM!! The gate was open but her dad had placed something else in the POD, so the lock wasn't on it because he wasn't expecting them. He had gone in the house to get another vendor situated, saw someone pulling up on the camera (was not a PODS truck) but before he could get out there to place the lock, the driver was gone. The driver again took a picture and left. It was clear someone was home because the garage where the POD was stored was open.We called the 800 number multiple times and did the chat because the POD had to leave in order to arrive in time for her to start college. They promised someone would come back to the house the same day during the timeframe they were supposed to, but no one returned. They said the Memphis center was not answering the phone. The next day we called and were told they would come back even though online showed the day after. Again, the said they could not reach anyone in Memphis. No one came.Her parents now had to unpack the POD, pay someone to drive a U-Haul to California, get that person a hotel room and fly them back home because otherwise their daughter would not have any belongings for her apartment to start college. They also had flights and hotels rooms in CA to help her move in.We placed a complaint with PODS online and someone by the name of Stephanie Ramirez called. She said it was not their fault and they don't have to call. She said calls are a courtesy because their drivers are busy. We advised every email PODS sends says you WILL call while you are on the way. It doesn't say we MAY call if time permits. Why wouldn't you call, especially if you are hours early or you're at the house and there is an issue that could be fixed in a minute? Stephanie was unconcerned that the 800 number representatives kept promising drivers would return and the POD will still arrive on time. Documentation was sent to her proving this. The 800 number representatives advised drivers are supposed to call and that's not how PODS does business. Stephanie hadn't even listened to the calls or read the chats before calling. She was only calling to introduce herself. All she cared about was that the windows are estimates and drivers don't have to call. She didn't care if the POD was late and a young lady would have to unload everything alone in a new place because her parents would be gone by the time the POD finally arrived. How dangerous is that?The day her parents decided to unpack the POD and go another route, someone from PODS CALLED saying he was on the way. I kindly advised him not to. So some of your drivers do call?They still charged the FULL AMOUNT for the POD, which was over $2,000, even though it never left Memphis, TN, they did not keep it 30 days and we weren't provided accurate information. They would not even offer half back. Shame on Stephanie Ramirez, the Customer Advocacy Specialist - Office of the Executives. She said there was no one else above her to speak with but I'm sure she isn't the CEO.Just drive your belongings or rent from someone else. PODS does not have any customer service or conflict resolution skills.

The drivers did a great job of calling ahead and keeping me informed of the delivery and pickup times. Lazaro was extra careful in backing up in the driveway and maneuvering the pod. Everything went as expected, which is nice during a move.

Adrian Boyte was my delivery person. He was very kind, professional, and flexible. Everything delivered was with our personal locks on them. Absolutely excellent service by him. First time using PODs. Did a great job for us with our daughter's move.Special note of thanks to the drivers who delivered and picked up the POD. We have a very curvy, narrow driveway on a hill with plants beside it.The drop off driver had a smaller truck and I advised him to just drive up and he would be able to turn around at the top. Did a great job.The pickup driver Lazzaro Rosser was amazing. He had a much larger truck and had to back it up the driveway and then maneuver it at the top to collect the POD. Could not have been better. Truly skilled.These two men and the other folks we interacted with at PODs were also very professional helpful and I will use them for any move I can in the future.

10 STAR service !!! We had a POD unit delivered this morning. It came from the 4791 Burbank Road facility in Memphis, TN. Our driver, Lazaro Rosser, arrived within the 30 minutes; that we received notice of the estimated 30 minute delivery time. Mr. Rosser was extremely polite, courteous and professional. He took great care care of us. Mr. Rosser represents PODS and their quality of service; with extreme professionalism. PODS is lucky to have Mr. Rosser on their team. This is the second time we have used PODS. We will continue to use their services. It is the dedication and hard work of their employees; that drives their success.Chris I.

We moved from NC to TN and had 3 of the large pods. We bought a set of locks that were all the same and even took photos of the locks on the pods.When the first one was delivered, it had a different lock on it. Which means someone removed ours and put another one on. This is a lock that we didn’t have a key to. We had movers scheduled the next day. We called and asked for help, for them to send a locksmith out. They said they would put in a support ticket. They said they would call us back within 3 hours. They did not call us. We called them again and they said they were still looking into it.We had hired movers to come for the next day. My husband went to Lowes and bought a grinder to grind off the lock.As far as we know, nothing was stolen.Pods customer service is terrible, and they should be ashamed of their lack of accountability.Update -I emailed our information to you as requested and haven’t heard anything back from you. Just as unresponsive as you were when we needed your help.
