River Garden is a charming park located by the waterfront, offering beautiful views of the Mississippi River. The area is filled with the scent of magnolias and features well-kept greenery, making it a pleasant place to relax. Visitors can enjoy shaded areas for sitting and eating, as well as unique amenities like hammocks and a gazebo that lights up at night. The park includes playground structures for children, but some reviews suggest it caters more to adults, with fewer traditional play features for kids. While there is plenty of space to walk dogs, with available doggie bags and a water fountain, the presence of homeless individuals in the area may make some families feel uneasy. Additionally, the lack of nearby restrooms has been a common concern among visitors. Overall, River Garden is a decent spot for enjoying nature, a quiet lunch, or a leisurely stroll along the river.
I took my 7 yrs old nephew and 8 yrs old niece to 3 different parks downtown and then said, 'that's no park'! Okay! I took them to a park with a playground and they said 'this a park Teetee'! They were happy and Teetee was too!

Beautiful waterfront with a lovely view. The park is filled with the scent of magnolias, everything is green and well-kept, and there are playgrounds for children. Unfortunately, there were some homeless people sleeping in the area, which made my kids a bit uneasy. Also, we weren’t able to find a restroom.
