Shelby County Obedience Club

Shelby County Obedience Club is a highly recommended dog training school with a great 35+ year history. It is described as a wonderful hidden gem and an invaluable, wonderful place for owners and their canine companions to learn, bond, have fun, and develop tools for at-home training maintenance. The club offers highly experienced, knowledgeable, versatile, and helpful class instructors and assistants who know so much about dog behavior and are eager to share their knowledge. The training classes are versatile, including beginner obedience, Rally, Agility, Scent Work, sequencing, and more. These classes help dogs develop confidence, learn new things, and provide mental and physical exercise while strengthening the bond between dog and owner. The school is particularly noted for helping rescue dogs that lack confidence, trust, or obedience, with success stories ranging from basic skills to off-leash walking. As a volunteer club, the cost of training is very affordable, reasonably priced, and almost nothing compared to outside options. It is a place to enjoy the work and meet new friends, both human and K9, with many members forming long-term involvement over years.
