ATTN:I was totally disrespected by Alicia Oliver(branch manager )I was referred to as sweetheart as if she was referring to my sexuality once I informed her that my pronouns are she/her she continued to disrespect me by calling me Mr continuously afterwards.Your beliefs are your beliefs but that doesn’t make it okay to intentionally disrespect someone else for your opinion.I called in about a transaction that the system failed to process in a timely manner. Instead of genuinely rectifying the situation they continued to use unpleasant unprofessional behavior /tones towards me as if they didn’t care about me as the customer and as ifI don’t have a voice . Alicia continued to speak over me she wouldn’t let me finish my sentence due to her voice being more important. So I stopped talking and listened to her until she finished speaking and I asked “ am I not the customer “ she replied yes but I’m the branch manager at this point I asked to be transferred because she continued to speak to me as if I was a child . She was so aggressive and rude towards me that when I informed her of my pronouns, instead of apologizing for her mistake she followed with anything else. Is this how unprofessional she is with every patron of this establishment? I’m still upset with how she blatantly disrespected me . I’m now questioning should I just quit banking here in general because I will not have anyone misgendering me at all, zero tolerance. Banking to feel Less & Stressed ?

Just awful customer service and I do not recommend any sound minded citizen of Memphis, who cares about their financial future to put money in this credit union. Also, the bank teller Patriece's customer service is horrendous. I will be contacting corporate. Terrible Experience

People are nice enough but this location is rundown and a headache to get in and out of. Parking lot and drive-thru too small and congested. Need a larger place to accommodate the volume of business.

Until recently southern security would have gotten a 5 star rating from me. After they closed our branch and put in the ATM with virtual banking it has been one headache after another. The machine is down more than up and last Friday they told me it was showing that we had not made a deposit since 2019 and we make a weekly deposit when the machine works. They said they would have to place a hold on our checks. They have been holding our paychecks since last week and have not released them for use. I went by there today to talk to a virtual teller and they were already closed for the day when they are normally open until 6pm. I am going to have to go to a different bank if this continues.

I always enjoy the staff at every location but this new updated app version is horrible for someone who tries to balance their accounts. Completely frustrated with this new updated.

I have been lucky enough to bounce around between the Bartlett, Collierville, & Chickasaw Gardens locations since 2016. Southern Security has been close by my side through my first vehicle, college, my second vehicle, my first apartment, my first home, and all the ups and downs between. Christine Cartwright has been my personal hero more times than I can count! Whether it be for something simple or something life-changing she has calmly and patiently worked with me to resolve any and every issue I’ve presented to her! I can confidently say Christine, Jon, Melva, Pat, and everyone I have encountered take customer service to a higher level that makes Southern Security qualify as family in my eyes! Thank you!!

When I tell you that Southern Security Credit Union is family, That’s just what they are, I have hit some hard patchs during this pandemic. I was taking it harder then they was, all I keep hearing is you good you are ok, We will stand together…And that’s just what they did… And a special shout out to Christina Cartwright, she always call and check on me, just to let me Southern Security is thinking of me

I have banked with Southern Security for over 5 years. I really don't remember when I opened my accounts with them. I've seen some of the bad reviews that call out specific people; however, I have never had that experience. The people I have dealt with at the bank and have come to know over the past few years have ALWAYS been incredibly kind, professional, courteous, and treated me like family. I also bank with a national "big" bank and the difference is night and day. At my big bank, I am an account number. At SSFCU, I am Jeff. I can call, text, or email and I always get a response. I've worked closely with Christine at the bank for the past 3 years and I've known Dawn for over a year. If you are reading reviews to try to make a banking decision, I strongly recommend you highly consider SSFCU and the GREAT team they have.

Tyler was very RUDE, and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!I have been banking with them for years and this is the first time I have experienced this treatment when trying to bank over the phone, since they have closed branches and is inconvenient to travel to the few branches that are open. Only 3 branches in the Memphis area and poor customer service is gonna lead to one less account. THANKS FOR NOTHING TYLER

I have been a customer for several years at Southern Security. Once the Pontotoc, Ms branch was closed I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Christine Cartwright in the Collierville location. Ms. Cartwright is very professional and always went above and beyond to explain in detail to answer any questions I had. She is extremely knowledgeable regarding loans. Any time I called she was eager to help me. I enjoy working with Ms. Cartwright on my auto loans. She is a asset to Southern Security and has been so kind adn poliet to work with.

I would like to personally thank Mrs Christine Cartwright for all of her hard work and dedication she does for the customer service of SSECURITY! Everytime I need assistance she is always there for me. I just want to say thanks for always going above and beyond duties your my number one banker at Southern Security keep up the good work.

Christine Cartwright blatantly lied to me numerous times regarding statement information. She is a known liar and fraud, as well as a joke of a professional. My advice would for her to attend some sort of ethics rehabilitation.
