Southgate Shopping Center

Shopping Centers & Malls
Hours: Southgate Shopping Center has been a familiar place since the early seventies, holding many childhood memories for some visitors. Over the years, it has changed a lot, but it still offers a variety of businesses. Currently, shoppers can find stores like Dollar Tree, which is less messy and has shorter wait times, and Roses department store nearby. The center features several large grocery stores, including Cash Saver, where prescriptions are filled at the Regional One pharmacy. There is also a Memphis Public Library inside, providing a helpful resource for visitors. The shopping center has received a recent facelift, making it look good. It has good parking and ample truck parking. Visitors appreciate the friendly customer service at the library and in stores. However, some note that the buildings are about 50 years old and could use more modern amenities, such as additional food options like Burger King or Popeyes, and entertainment facilities like an ice cream shop or entertainment center. The center's facilities include a printer machine that needs fixing. Despite some frustrations about limited business choices and aging buildings, Southgate remains a notable shopping spot with a long history in the community.
